La Bomba
The Grizzlies believed that they had packed with them a little momentum to start their five-game, West Coast road trip. But whatever force they felt behind four wins in their past five games and a defense rounding into respectability seemed like lost luggage by the time the Griz departed US Airways Center. Hardly anything positive could be located Wednesday night during the Grizzlies 126-111 loss to the Phoenix Suns. The Suns entered as the only NBA team to have scored 100-plus points in every game this season. After giving up 111.1 points per game during their 1-8 start, the Griz were holding opponents to an average of 96.6 points in their previous five games. But the Grizzlies didnt even prove to be a speed bump against the high-powered Suns. Phoenix (12-3) had 98 points on 68-percent shooting through three quarters and cruised to its 15th consecutive home victory dating to last season. We didnt give a lot of resistance, Griz coach Lionel Hollins said. They showed why theyre the best team in the NBA right now. http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/2009/...zzlies-126-111/
