Built Ford Tough
When we talk about the terrible teams so far this season, it seems like people are only talking about the New Jersey Nets, and right fully so consiering their abysmal 0-15 start to the season, just two games away from tying the worst start in NBA history, but nobody seems to be talking about the Minnesota Timberwolves. The T'Wolves are a pathetic 1-14 so far this season and their only win came against, you guessed it, the New Jersey Nets back on a Damien Wilkins buzzer beater in the Wolves first game of the year. Since then they have managed to go on to lose 14 straight games. The T'Wolves have actually been less competitive than the Nets this season as they are losing games by an average of 14 ppg while the Nets are losing by an average of just a tick over 10. The Nets rank 30th in ppg and offensive rating while the T'Wolves are 28th and 29th respectively. The Nets rank 8th in oppg and 11th in defensive rating while the T'Wolves are 24th and 23rd respectively. Granted, Minny has been without Kevin Love who is an integral piece to their team, but injuries can't be used as an excuse when you look at what the Nets have went through this season so far. So why is it that all of the focus has been directed towards the New Jersey Nets when you can easily make the case that the Wolves have been a worse team so far this season? xx.
Yep, I noticed this yesterday as well when I saw their record. All the hate is going on the Nets, as it should be, however, the T'Wolves are just as bad only winning one game and they have no media hatred on them as of now. The Regime
And that one win came on a buzzer beater if I remember correctly.
Riot
Yeah I noticed this yesterday too. I would say the Wolves are the worst team, but winless... man, just looks so bad. What's the all time worst start, 0-17? Look at the Nets next 2 games, versus the Kings, then the Lakers, both on the road. That Kings game should be a must win for them. TheNextBestThing
Yeah, it's because of the stigma of having no wins at all. If the Nets were 1-14 and the T'Wolves were 2-13, nobody would be especially mocking the Nets.
Check my Stats
The more losses the better as far as I am concerned. Would 25 wins really be better than 15? While in the standings it would be you are getting number 1 projected instead of 2 or 3. GET OUT THE TANK.
Ignition
They tied the record their at 0-
Lone Wolf
Too bad the Wolves got robbed a few wins no thanks to the refs. But yeah, I'm very disappointed with the Wolves this year. Hopefully Love will get them out of the bottom. Once a fan, always a fan.
Owner Real Deal Posted December 1, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted December 1, 2009 New Jersey will be the one raking in attention because they can be a playoff team in the East, if everyone is healthy. Even with Love on the court, the Wolves will be a bottom team in the league, so while there's no jaw-dropping going on in Minnesota, you can't say the same for the Nets. Erick Blasco
The way the Nets are going I dont see any big name FA wanting to go there this summer. Sorry Jay Z. When free agents realize that the Nets will have dollars to spend, they'll be interested.
