Cleveland's Finest
INDEPENDENCE, Ohio -- LeBron James says Cleveland Cavaliers coach Mike Brown should have let Zydrunas Ilgauskas set a record last weekend. Ilgauskas has tied Cleveland's record for all-time games played at 723 and will set a new mark with his next appearance. That could have been at home last Saturday, but Brown elected not to play Ilgauskas in a victory against the Dallas Mavericks. "I definitely thought he should've played," James said Monday. "I'm not trying to stir up anything with coach or whatever is going on with the organization, but sometimes one game is the smaller things. What was on the line was something way bigger than us playing the Mavericks. That was Z breaking the record." Ilgauskas declined interview requests Saturday night and on Monday. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4701191 I can understand this I was looking forward to Z being celebrated. I know his family was at the game and everything was set for this record.....happy to see LeBron recognize it to some extent.
Poe
Why didn't he play?
Owner Real Deal Posted December 1, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted December 1, 2009 Why didn't he play?Because, quite frankly, nobody cares about Big Z anymore, despite his long journey with the Cavs.
Cleveland's Finest
Lol guys....no. He's played more than 20 minutes every game this season. But against the Mavs with no Dampier, they barely had any bigs to play. Z could've played worthless minutes to end the game but we never play him then. He's started like half the games this year, he still definitely plays.
Flash
I think LeBron could care less but he's just trying to come off as caring.
Cleveland's Finest
When they won the ECF in 2007 in Game 6, LeBron went right to Z when the game ended and jumped up right into him and they hugged. I think LeBron cares.
Cobb
Around the Horn was just talking about this and I do think he should've played. I mean come on now, at least put him in there for a few minutes. It's not going to hurt.
