MainEv3nt
Yahoo! Sports reports that the Bulls and Knicks are discussing a trade that would send Tyrus Thomas and Jerome James to New York in exchange for Al Harrington. Several sources believe that Gar Forman would sign off on such a deal but Donnie Walsh is so far not ready to include Harrington. "Nothing is imminent, but both sides would like to figure out a way to do this," said a league executive who was briefed on the discussions. http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/63182/20091204/bulls_and_knicks_discuss_tyrus_for_harrington_trade/
Owner Real Deal Posted December 4, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted December 4, 2009 LOL...joking, right? The Knicks want to trade their best player for someone who just busted his arm/elbow and Jerome James?

Owner Real Deal Posted December 4, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted December 4, 2009 are u surprised lol.Actually, yes. Harrington's contract expires soon, and that's $8-10 million off the books (don't remember how much he's making). I know Tyrus has a player option after this season, since I was actually hoping the Lakers would trade for him, and Jerome James is overpaid but PROBABLY expiring...so really, assuming the salaries are probably going to have to match due to cap restrictions, there's no reason for the Knicks to do this. Well, unless Harrington wants out. That could be it. Otherwise, this is a stupid move for New York as a team looking to be WAY under the cap, and a stupid move as a team looking to win games this year. bigdog17k
Heh, it would be a great acquisition for the Bulls. Knicks fans would probably tear their hair out.
MJ23
It turns out that there's no discussions. It's just a rumour
papertrail
Yeah, definitely wouldn't make any sense. I don't think it would be good for either team anyways. The Bulls would get some temporary offense, but they Thomas is going to be a pretty good player for a long time. Not a superstar type guy, but he's a good piece for them. As for the Knicks, they should want to keep Harrington being that his contract will expire soon.
Jonah
I think the Knicks were looking at this when they were 3-14 and everything was going downhill. Now they are doing much better and playing well together. There is no way Walsh can break up this team. The Knicks have not worked together like this, ever. T Thomas is an athletic player, but I couldnt trade AH for him.
Pooh25
This trade is not happening, obviously.
Guest California Dreamin'
I know Tyrus has a player option after this season, since I was actually hoping the Lakers would trade for him, Tyrus has a qualifier offer for next season.
