Mayo added 25 points to help the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Dallas Mavericks, 98-82, tonight. Dallas, which shot 58 percent Wednesday night against New Jersey, including 81 percent in the first half, shot just 35.2 against Memphis. Rudy Gay added 18 points for the Grizzlies, who won their second straight. Mike Conley finished with 10 points. Jason Terry led Dallas with 18 points. Dirk Nowitzki scored 16 points, but was 7-of-22 from the field. Jason Kidd had 13 points and seven assists. Memphis led by 20 in the fourth period, leading the Dallas starters to the bench in the final minutes. Memphis led by as many as 13 in the first half before carrying a 58-51 lead into the locker room. Dallas didn’t come close to maintaining the shooting pace it had against New Jersey, shooting 44 percent before halftime. Memphis, meanwhile, was shooting the better percentage, hitting 54 percent, as Mayo connected on his first six shots en route to 17 points in the half.
