Cobb
Source: ESPN Jimmy Clausen enrolled at Notre Dame to learn about the NFL. Looks like he's learned enough. Following the advice of deposed Irish coach Charlie Weis, Clausen has decided to forgo his senior season and enter this April's draft. Rated as perhaps the top quarterback in this year's class, he is believed to be coveted by St. Louis, Cleveland and Washington -- three teams that will conceivably pick in the top five. "After the season, in talking to my parents and obviously Coach Weis, I just feel it's the right time," Clausen told ESPN.com on Monday before a scheduled 2 p.m. ET news conference in South Bend. "Coach Weis told me whether he was going to be here or not be here, it was time for me to go. He thought I've improved so much since I came to Notre Dame. So, I'm taking his advice, and I'm going to head out." Notre Dame wide receiver Golden Tate also announced he will enter the draft Monday. The consensus No. 1 high school recruit in the country three years ago, Clausen chose Notre Dame over USC solely because of Weis' NFL pedigree. Weis -- who tutored both Tom Brady and Drew Bledsoe in New England -- assured Clausen he would prepare him best for the pro game, and Clausen rewarded the coach with a spectacular junior season. No surprised here. I think Clausen will do well in the NFL. Whoever becomes the coach at Notre Dame has some big holes to fill.
damien
I hope my Jets can get Tate, and I'm hoping a team like the Rams gets Clausen. Both are great athletes and the only reason Notre Dame didn't completely suck this season
CaliCurbStomppa
Clausen could as well be best QB in this year draft because Sam Bradford got some issues with his shoulder and Tim Tebow isn't a NFL caliber QB. Hopefully Clausen has a decent oline where he can step up in the pocket and make plays. Didn't happen with Notre Dame since the oline was pretty shaky. Flash
He and Jake Locker are my top QB's heading in. Locker might need to sit a year though whereas Clausen can come in and start right away. He can make all the throws you need to make in the NFL. Please Dolphins, take Golden Tate. La Bomba
I hate just about every player to ever play at Norte Dame, but I think both Clausen and take are great prospects. Clausen has a chance to be to No. 1 pick.

The Great iBoldin
While Ndamukong Suh has all the abilities and the stats in college football, I don't exactly think that's going to translate into NFL dominance right away like everyone thinks. He dominates against interior lineman and he's getting all the double teams, but I honestly don't like something in Suh. It's something I see. Defensive Tackle is not a premium position, and rarely a number one overall pick. Is Suh that good to make such an impact right away? Who's more explosive, Suh or McCoy at the next level? Lack of lower body strengths is eventually what I think can hurt Suh. He's getting by with sloppy technique, and I think that'll take some time to refine. Don't expect him to come in and grab double digit sacks inside. This guy isn't Reggie White.
BasX
I keep seeing Suh as being a perfect 3-4 end. However, perfect in terms of having a dominate NT already in place. I haven't seen enough of him though. Edited December 8, 2009 by BasX
The Great iBoldin
Eh.. Gerlad McCoy strikes me as a much better 34 end. Suh needs to be able to collapse the pocket to make his plays, and he's simply not a nose in the 34. Suh has no swing in his hips, as gay as that may sound. Flash
I disgree. McCoy really was a letdown this year at OU. Suh is going to be a stud at either a 4-3 DT position or a 3-4 end. He's the most dominant D Tackle since Warren Sapp came out of Miami.

I didn't say McCoy was a better player then Suh, I said McCoy would be a much better 34 end, which he would be. I don't think either of them should be in the 34 at all, but if I had a choice it's McCoy.
La Bomba
Who wants the Norte Dame job now?LOL every team looses players. Proving you're a good coach means building a good team, not just using the players from your previous coach, but recruiting your own guys. Coaching isn't a one year deal.
