Replace Kobe with Wade or LeBron

If Kobe was replaced by Wade or LeBron in the lineup how would the Lakers do? Better? Worse?

I think Worse because I don't think Lebron or Wade would fit in the system as well as Kobe does. Kobe is the best player in the league still in my opinion with his passing, scoring and defense. I think Lebron and Wade are good but still.

Down a peg or two, but LA would still be in a league of their own out West. Kobe isn't necessarily the best player, but he's the best player for that team.

Replace Kobe with those 2 on any team and you get worse. Neither of them are capable of the 4th quarter clutchness that Kobe has so we would still be an elite team but probably fall flat come playoff time.

LeBron, Artest, and Odom are too much the same to play well together and I see LeBron better off playing with small guards and a big. LeBron wouldn't be able to play with Bynum and Gasol at the same time.

 

Wade would work imo.

I think replacing Kobe with Wade wouldn't really be a big downgrade. In a proper system it could work very well also.

I think they actually would do a bit worse because Kobe at the end of games is unpredictable, with LeBron all he can do it drive so taht is easy to stop as we have seen near the end of games this year, and with Wade I would say he also can only do the same thing I like how is can do more with the floater but other than that both for the most part are not dominating at the end.

I'm not sure if LeBron can play with a true scoring big. I haven't been a big fan of LeBron's game off the ball to begin with. I think he stands and waits.

 

Wade proved he can do it with Shaq (who was better than this year's Shaq, obviously), but I'd have to question if Wade can actually facilitate the triangle offense.

 

I think the Lakers have built the nearly-perfect team around the nearly-perfect player, with just the right offense to put them over the top. Kobe's game has been molded to make him the model triangle player, and with the debate still there as to who the best player in the league is, I can't say that you can't get any better than Kobe in this particular offense.

Although I believe that both would be a downgrade for THIS system, Wade would fit better than Lebron because hes alot better at facilitating and I dont think he needs the ball in his hands nonstop.

 

Lebron needs the ball in his hand 90% of the time.
