Built Ford Tough
NBA coaching sources told Marc Stein of ESPN recently that the Bulls have their eyes on former Nets coach Lawrence Frank should they decide to dismiss Vinny Del Negro. Chicago officials are expected to continue monitoring Del Negro's status in the coming weeks. The Bulls are coming off a recent skid of nine losses in ten games. Bulls assistant coach Bernie Bickerstaff stands out as the most likely interim replacement should Chicago decide to fire Del Negro in the coming weeks. http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/63360/20091212/bulls_may_have_eye_on_lawrence_frank/ I actually like Frank as a coach, even though not very man people share that opinion. I defniitely think that he would be a better coach than Del Negro. He is a very good X's and O's guy which would go a long way in helping out the Bulls' sputtering offense while tightening up their system. I admit to now knowing much about VDN's coaching style, but from what I have seen he doesn't look like that good of a coach, and I think that Frank is a good coach, so if I was a Bulls fan I would be up for the change. Teletopez
Yeah, several sources have said he's going to be considered if Vinny Del Negro is fired. Ever since Frank left the Nets, we have put up some ugly defensive games, so he really did make a difference for us on defense. Considering that, I think Frank can send the Bulls' defense uphill. But we can say the Nets obviously struggled because of their offense, which was last in the league, and that was a result of Frank saying he was only coaching defense. Chicago is 28th in the league in offense, so Frank is going to need to shift some more attention to the offense in Chicago if he wants to get the job and send the team in a winning direction. Gooner
It would be pointless. It's not Vinny's fault this team sucks. The roster just isn't that talented. Besides, if he's fired I'd rather go after Byron Scott.
