The Goods
Jason Kidd intends to return to the Mavericks for a three-year, $24 million deal, according to HoopsWorld. HoopsWorld cited an "informed source." Kidd said that he would take the holiday weekend to mull over offers from both New York and Dallas. Barring an unforeseen development, Kidd is expected to tell the Mavericks on Monday that he will accept the offer. http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/60320/20090703/source_kidd_intends_to_stay_in_dallas/
JWaLL
Damn, I just lost a bet.
OSUBucksfan09
Happy to see him back though I don't like his offensive skills when it comes to consistently hitting a jump shot.
KurbyFX
I always thought Kidd would like to play for a championship contender at this time of his life. I just don't see the Mavericks contending against the Lakers, Spurs and up-and-coming Blazers.
JWaLL
Well it wasn't like he was going to be signed by any of those 3 teams, so I don't blame him for going back to where he was.
Jet
Eh, I don't want him hereeee Oh well, He doesn't hurt the team... but I'd rather see Barea get the opportunity. The Mavs are getting old anyway, they'll need to have some younger starters...
Cleveland's Finest
I just saw on the ESPNEWS news scroller on TV that Kidd will resign.
OSUBucksfan09
I kind of agree Jet but I don't think JJ is the answer though he is a good option as our backup PG.
deestillballin
We still have Barea, Terry both capable of playing point. but Gerald Green at SG
Jet
Dude, I'm like paranoid. I hate to think of JJ leaving the Mavs now and becoming an outstanding point guard like Devin has become, and adding on to what Dee said, I think between Jason and JJ they can handle any situation Edited July 6, 2009 by Jet
Multi-Billionaire
You can relax JJ isn't going to be an outstanding PG he doesn't have that ceiling... he's very good though... can be a starter but the downside is he still lacks size to be a starter and is suitable for a backup PG. Starting I think is a stretch for him.
Multi-Billionaire
And Cuban keeps making weird decisions... $8 mil a year for 3 yrs for a 36 yr declining PG is a lot...
