Guest N4S
Did Orlando make worse themselves by off-season actions? Edited July 3, 2009 by N4S
BlueDevil
if they end up getting sheed then it was a good idea. If not then we will have to wait and see, but right now their bench is what worries me.
KurbyFX
They need to sign more depth.
Doc
I say so. Nothing against Carter but he doesn't really fit the system. This takes the ball away from Howard and Lewis. Turk fit it so well, and thats why he did so well. There is no rules against letting the 3 fly.
Legacy
No. Vince and Anderson will help more than Hedo, Alston, Lee, and Battie. They do need to sign some free agents to help with the depth though.
JWaLL
I don't think they're worse at all, especially knowing that they aren't done pursuing other free agents to compensate for their loss of Hedo and the others.

OldChili
Well, I think they knew they were losing Hedo which is why they pulled the trigger on the VC trade. Â As of right now, it's very hard to say considering the offseason is not over yet. They still need to sign a few players to fill the roster. Lkr
They lost their best perimeter player for one that is hardly better. they lost 2 startersthey lost a solid backup Yeah, how did they NOT get worse?
Riot
Well first of all let's not mention Alston since losing him couldn't make us worse since Jameer and him never played together. We're right back where we were at the beginning of last season with Jameer/Anthony Johnson. And we were better with Jameer/AJ than Rafer/AJ. Battie? Ryan Anderson more than makes up for that loss. The guy's only 21. Mickael Pietrus only played 54 games last year so hopefully he can stay healthy this year and make up for the loss of Lee a little bit. He had a pretty nice playoffs. Hedo probably wasn't going to re-sign with us anyway. So if Hedo left and we didn't make the trade for VC, we would be pretty much out of contention. Vince is no doubt better than Turk. Who knows how he'll perform this year. He sounds really excited so he might have a great year. Marcin only played like 13mpg for us and you have to wonder how much of that was garbage time. He came in handy during the couple games that Dwight was injured, or in the playoffs suspended. But I think his hype is making it seem like a bigger than loss that it will be. We do need to get a backup center though, and little more depth. For now it's hard to say though, if we got worse or better. There's a few questions, will Jameer return to all star form? Will Ryan Anderson play great in our system? Will VC be rejuvenated?
Guest N4S
Face you def got worse as the East got stronger.
The Artesticle
They get better because Nelson will be healthy. I'm not sure about the VC trade, I don't really think they get better, or worse, just stay status quo.
AtTheDriveIn
Face you def got worse as the East got stronger. How did we 'def' get worse? Carter is a consistent 20 point per game scorer. Hedo was, at best, good for ~16 points on a good night. Plus, Ryan Anderson is someone who 'def' fits into our system. He's double the player Tony Battie is, at the very least and he's not even begun to develop yet. Plus, free agency just started. How are you so quick to judge? God, I think some people just like to look like retards sometimes.
Sun Tzu
I'm starting to feel that they did. They lack depth now, and last season they had a lot of depth.
JMEWLS
It depends really, will we sign a big man to compliment Dwight Howard? Most probably, depending on who that guy is. We've done relatively good this off season. It's not even over yet, it's too early to grade their moves.
