Built Ford Tough
Raise the rim three inches: The athletes today are crazy. You see the way guys are jumping these days. I would raise the rim three inches. Then, you have to learn the art of the jump shot. You'll have to know how to play this game a little bit better then. Raising the rim, you'll see improved play. You'll see increasing fundamentals. I'm telling you. http://www.sbnation.com/2009/12/18/1207363/paul-pierce-thinks-raising-the-rim While I'm not against the intent that Pierce has with this (increasing fundamentals and not simply relying on athleticism) I really don't think that raising the rim is the solution to this problem. I'm not exactly sure how they can encourage young players to develop great fundamentals, but I don't think that this is the way to go about it. What do you guys think? The Regime
no, that's a horrible idea; atleticism counters athleticism so raising the rim really isnt a good solution
Owner Real Deal Posted December 19, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted December 19, 2009 Hell, I'd be saying this too if I couldn't dunk anymore.

Check my Stats
The only two guys who I can think of at a clear disadvantage due to their athleticism and dunking is D12 and LeBron. This is a very weird proposition but I like the way he is thinking I guess.

The Next Knick
No, it'd effect everyone's jumpers. They haven't changed the rim size since the league started over 60 years ago, why would they change it now?
