A.K.
Local 6 Ping is reporting that the Orlando Magic have offered Turkoglu a new, five year $45 million deal and Hedo is seriously considering it. This is why he backed out of the Portland deal and it's down to Orlando or Toronto now with the Magic having a slight edge. Apparently, he really wants to return. bigdog17k
I think he's crazy to go elsewhere, we got the pieces to make a run...
Riot
Seriously, 45mil/5year deal on the Magic, or 50mil/5year deal on the Raptors. Doesn't seem like a hard choice. He just wants a long contract. If we really offered him that, I don't see why he wouldn't return.
bigdog17k
I agree, he wants to be locked up, secured. If he really goes to Toronto for that extra 5 mil a year he's really just about the money...
ChosenOne
It will show if he wants money or a ring. Like what Riot said going some where else for an extra one million a year would just flat out be stupid.
AtTheDriveIn
Just letting you guys know the contract that was apparently offered by Toronto exceeds $56 million for 5 years. The contract's first year total is $10+ million with raises every season after that. Edited July 4, 2009 by AtTheDriveIn
bigdog17k
Well then Orlando's 45mil/5yr doesn't look strong, I hope that isn't the case
Flight
That would make either Hedo or Vince the 6th man of the year. I think Hedo would probably come off the bench, but he'd still get close to 30 minutes a game.
A.K.
With Orlando not having a state income tax plus the extra money players make in the playoffs or Finals (which he won't be attending with the Raptors), the deals are nearly equal. After everything, Toronto's deal is only worth like $1 mil more.
Guest Nissan
It makes no sense for Hedo to sign with the Raptors because he's going to have to pay state and federal taxes in the US and pay taxes in Canada.

AtTheDriveIn
Well then Orlando's 45mil/5yr doesn't look strong, I hope that isn't the case Yeah. It was on Yahoo! Sports this morning: "Turkoglu had agreed on a five-year, $50 million deal with the Blazers, but changed his mind and could be headed for a five-year, $56 million deal with the Raptors. Toronto would have to renounce three free agents" That would make either Hedo or Vince the 6th man of the year. I think Hedo would probably come off the bench, but he'd still get close to 30 minutes a game. Hedo is a SFCarter is a SGPietrus is a sixth man. Guest Nissan
Hedo to the Raptors. Do it, Hedo.
Flight
I'm spaced lol. I don't know what I was thinking about, obviously Turkey glue or Vinsanity would be better than Pietrus, although he's not a bad 6th man.

OSUBucksfan09
I heard reason Hedo backed out of Portland deal was because his wife strongly desired to go to Toronto. That combined with more money makes it very likely that he will end up there.

MainEv3nt
After changing his mind on Friday, Hedo Turkoglu has accepted a five-year, $53 million offer from the Raptors, sources told ESPN.com. Earlier on Friday, Turkoglu had accepted an offer from the Trail Blazers. Turkoglu reportedly gave Portland a verbal commitment on Thursday, but informed the club that he was having second thoughts on Friday morning. The forward will make roughly $3 million more over the life of the contract in Toronto than he would have in Portland. its a wrap lol. this is a dick move of hedo, he shoulda stayed in orlando, watch him fall off in toronto
