fly3rs18
so right now i have my wireless router upstairs and my xbox with the wireless attachment thing in the basement. well all is great until the phone rings, and the xbox live disconnects. internet on my computer is totally fine, but the xbox disconnects only while the phone is ringing anyone have any idea why this is happening or how to fix it? its gotta be something with the frequency of the xbox wifi and the wireless house phones Edited December 29, 2009 by fly3rs18

Celtics3420
It prolly is the frequencies. It's like using internet on a PSP while using XBL, it lags ALOT/disconnects you. No idea how to, or if there even is a way to fix it lol.
Cobb
That's really weird. Of all the problems connecting to Xbox Live and what not this is the weirdest one I've came across. Only thing I can tell ya is to do some Google searches or go post/look on the Xbox Forums.
Dr. Feelgood
I use these to connect to xbox live. http://www.woot.com/Blog/ViewEntry.aspx?Id=1645 And I've never had a problem connecting, talking on the phone while gaming, etc. They work great and are less expensive than the xbox wireless adapter. I got mine when they were 30 bucks but I think they go for 40-50 now, maybe more. Official name is Logitech Play Link. Just a suggestion. fly3rs18
so turns out it is the frequencies. both the xbox and our cordless phone are both 2.6 khz. and the phone is right between the xbox and the router you could buy a wrt54gl and flash it with dd-wrt or tomato and use it as a bridge english? Lkr
is the phone in the same room? if so, just move the phone
fly3rs18
phone isnt in the same room. right now my router is upstairs. the xbox is in the basement. the xbox is close to directly below the room with the router, but there is a phone in the kitchen which is on the first floor between the xbox and router if that made any sense. so i dont think there is much i could do besides buying a new phone. and its not worth it for me since i go back to college in 2 weeks anyway
