Klashnekoff
http://www.netsdaily.com/images/0708/swilliams02.jpg Nets Likely to Trim Roster, Not Add to ItJuly 3, 2009, 8:15 am Julian Garcia writes that after slashing non-basketball staff, the Nets are unlikely to add to their basketball roster this summer. In fact, expect at least one current Net–they have a full roster of 15–to be headed elsewhere. Who’s the most likely to go? Garcia thinks with the addition of Tony Battie, expect Josh Boone or Sean Williams to be moved. Meanwhile, Jeff Van Gundy tells Nets fans, it’s still “In Rod We Trust”. Link - http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/nets/2009/07/03/2009-07-03_for_nets_addition_can_help_to_subtract.html I don't personally agree on moving Sean, i think moving Boone may be the likely option but i say leave the roster as it is. Boone hasn't shown us any problems being a 3rd string player and if Battie, Sean or Yi were to go down with injury then Boone is very capable of stepping up and becoming a off the bench man for our front line or even at times starting, he's proved he can start and be a factor on the boards and his muscle is a plus.. moeroadkill
is sean still in the D league?is it possible to keep both sean and boone and send battie on his marry way?but if i had to pick i would send boone packing, there both capable players but sean seems to have a higher sky.“In Rod We Trust”
Klashnekoff
Sean is training with the team (Lopez generally i heard) .. I think we shouldn't move any of the guys and try them out before throwing them away.. i think Sean and Boone both deserve chances to prove what they can give the team this upcoming season and Battie deserves a shot with us, i think he will be great actually for us .. If i had to pick i would actually let go off Battie due to age but yeah i wouldn't want to have to choose lol.. that is why: In Rod We Trust.. Yes. Universe
I'd rather keep Sean over Boone if he can be a positive in the locker room as Boone's potential has peaked while Williams still has some room to grow. As for Battie, Nets will keep him at least for training camp to help with Lopez's development.
Klashnekoff
Battie wouldn't help Lopez much, that's certain, he has a completely different game. As for Boone/Sean.. it's evident so far that Boone has had the more success but Sean's potential and age play a big factor, not to mention the defensive presences each of them bring differs greatly.. I just hope we keep all of them and try it out .. see what happens ..
