Teletopez
Nets sought Nate Looking to add a spark, the Nets tried to acquire energetic Nate Robinson from the Knicks, league sources said. The Nets proposed a Rafer Alston and Tony Battie for Robinson and Darko Milicic swap. Neither player was playing for the Knicks, and the Nets hoped Robinson would provide energy and life to a team that needed both. All four players are on expiring contracts so it would have fit both teams' wants to not hurt their salary-cap figure and flexibility for the summer. But the Knicks weren't interested. Klashnekoff
Trade Lee with that package for Duhon. The Knicks fans know they want Duhon out of NY and he would be better off in the d-league for a bit then back if the nets need him when nates contract runs out. As a Nets fan i know i don't want Lee on this team anymore, he is the real reason we are losing. Harris and Lopez are doing what they can but as soon as CDR went down we lost that true wingman, Lee is nothing but a chucker in my opinion, he also doesn't fit our system with that style, we need to score as much as we can to compensate for our defense lacking so badly. We can't risk Lee missing most of his shots, we need definite scorers like Devin and Lopez doing there thing with CDR and Nate scoring for our second unit. Lets hope something can be worked out! Newman
So because this deal didn't happen...the Nets got Chris Quinn for Rafer Alston instead.
Universe
Glad we didn't get Nate. Him and Terrance are buds and he's already off track as it is.
