Built Ford Tough
No because he isn't even a PG. He plays the majority of his minutes at SG. Sure, he plays PG for stretches in the game, but he is a SG first and foremost. All you have to do is look and see that Beno Udrih is playing 30 mpg which would kind of give away the fact that he plays SG mainly. Or, you could look here: http://www.82games.com/0910/09SAC3.HTM#bypos and see that he plays more SG than he does PG. He is also more effective at SG than he is at PG as well, both offensively and defensively. So no, Evans is not a top 10 PG because he is primarily a SG. Newman
He might make the top 10 of SG in my opinion then.
Owner Real Deal Posted January 7, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted January 7, 2010 Yeah, Evans is a two-guard. Let me just list the primary two-guards for each team. If I get one wrong, I'm sorry...it's based on how much they probably play the position. Joe JohnsonRay AllenStephen JacksonJohn SalmonsAnthony ParkerJason TerryJR SmithBen GordonMonta EllisTrevor ArizaBrandon RushEric GordonKobe BryantOJ MayoDwyane WadeCharlie BellCorey BrewerChris Douglas-RobertsDevin BrownLarry HughesThabo SefoloshaVince CarterAndre IguodalaJason RichardsonBrandon Roy (who is primarily an SF, but I'm sure he plays the most two-guard on the team)Tyreke EvansRoger MasonMarco BelinelliWes MatthewsRandy Foye Is Evans a top ten? I don't know. Kobe, Wade, Johnson, Allen, Roy, Carter, Iguodala...I think those guys are easily the better overall players. I'm sure some can argue for Eric Gordon, Monta Ellis, Ben Gordon, Stephen Jackson.

Newman
Like I said, purely a personal favorite. If we're to go by this season's stats, Allen would not even be on the top 10 and VC would be on it.
Owner Real Deal Posted January 7, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted January 7, 2010 I'd consider that, actually. Ray Allen is a HUGE piece for Boston. He's one of the best shooters of all-time, one of the best off-the-ball players ever, and he's still a very dangerous player (just had a 50-point game in the playoffs last year). But if we're talking about performance right now, Ray isn't a top 10, and would probably barely hit the top 15.
Owner Real Deal Posted January 8, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted January 8, 2010 I think Ray Allen is still an all-star player. I can't say the same for Tyreke Evans yet.
Erick Blasco
My Top 10 outta the list by Real Deal:1. Kobe Bryant2. Dwyane Wade3. Brandon Roy4. Joe Johnson5. That's not a terrible list, and with those players Evans isn't a top 10 player yet. Give the kid time though, he's going to be a very good player.
