MLB commissioner Bud Selig has proposed to Nippon Professional Baseball officials that the Japanese and U.S. champions play each other, Reuters is reporting, attributing the information to the Nikkan Sports newspaper. "Mr. Selig said he wants to realize the plan before his tenure ends," Nippon Professional Baseball commissioner Ryozo Kato told Nikkan Sports. I'd be for it.
