Philadelphia Phillies 2010

The Phillies are getting an extra 3 home games (well technically the Phillies will be the "away" team). The 3 game series against the Jays that was supposed to be played in Toronto is being moved to Philadelphia because of that G4 Summit in Toronto the same weekend. I heard about this yesterday and MLB just announced it today...

Annoying game today. Terrible defense was the difference. The second half of the double header was rained out.

Anyway, matchups for Brewers series:

Tomorrow: Jamie Moyer vs. Randy Wolf

Saturday: Joe Blanton vs. Chris Narveson

Sunday: Cole Hamels vs. Doug Davis

On ESPN Sunday night.

What a great day. Flyers win, Phillies finish sweep of Brewers. Also, word is that Jimmy Rollins will be activated from the DL tomorrow.

Matchups for Pirates series:

Tomorrow: Charlie Morton vs. Kyle Kendrick

Tuesday: Zach Duke vs. Roy Halladay

Such a [expletive]in annoying game. Not saying the Phillies played particularly well, but every ball the Phillies hit hard, a Cub made a ridiculous play or it was right at someone, and the Cubs scored their runs on some of the cheapest hits I have ever seen. By far the most frustrating game of the season.

Matchups for Red Sox series:

Tonight: John Lackey @ Cole Hamels

Tomorrow: Daisuke Matsuzaka @ Kyle Kendrick

Sunday: Tim Wakefield @ Roy Halladay

The Phillies have been horrendous in interleague play over the past few years.

What's the prog on Rollins? I just saw on BBTN that he was hurt again.

Right calf strain (again). He says it did not feel as bad as the first one, and he is listed as "day to day" for now, but this team is almost never honest when it comes to injuries so there's no way of knowing.

From what I am hearing, the Red Sox fans at the game were acting even more entitled than usual (no offense ECN), so I am quite happy that it didn't happen.

And the offense has entered it's annual "interleague slump". Of course, scoring 0 runs combined with Roy Halladay's once-per-4 months bad start is not a good combination.

Anyway, matchups for Phillies/Mets series....

Tuesday: Jamie Moyer @ Raul Valdes

Wednesday: Joe Blanton @ Hisanori Takahashi

Thursday: Cole Hamels @ Mike Pelfrey

They can never beat any AL teams. Even against [expletive]ty pitching they ALWAYS go into a slump when interleague play rolls around.

Also, funny that you deny you are a troll, but you get right to work trolling again. But yeah, the Phillies were swept by the Blue Jays and Orioles last year, I guess they are better teams? Was that "not surprising" too?

Nevermind, looks like RA Dickey is pitching for the Mets on Tuesday. I guess they saw how much success the Phillies had against a knuckleballer today...
