Poe
http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/vv40/The_Poe/Picture48.png The Miami Heat announced today that they have signed free agent guard Rafer Alston. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. “We are thrilled to have Skip back in a Heat uniform, as he brings another set of skills and experience to the point guard position,” said Heat President Pat Riley. “From his time in Miami, we know both his game and him as a person, and we had a great experience with him in the past. We are very happy to have Skip back in the HEAT family.” Alston, who was placed on waivers by the New Jersey Nets on January 5, has appeared in 27 games (13 starts) this season for the Nets. He has averaged 9.7 points, 3.9 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.00 steals in 28.4 minutes per game. http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/63888/20100107/heat_sign_rafer_alston/ This is great. The Heat basically handed over Quinny to the Nets, with the exchange of 2nd rounders to make it work, and the Nets drop Rafer so the Heat could sign him for next to nothing. B-Marsh>R-Moss
Well at least they finally have an average PG instead of 3 below average ones.
Check my Stats
Nice move but this won't make them particularly better IMO. He probably isn't that much better than Chalmers since Alston will be used primarily as a spot up shooter, no way will he alleviate the pressure of Wade, Wade should continue to hold the ball the majority of the time. He is definitely better than Arroyo though lol. No move is gonna keep the Raptors from taking the 5 seed

Cleveland's Finest
Alston always kills the Cavs from 3 like he did in the playoffs last year so hopefully the Cavs won't face the Heat in the playoffs. This gives them much needed experience alongside D-Wade in the back court.
