Teletopez
Talk about déjà vu. The Orioles scored early in the game with runners on first and second with a bunt ground ball that turned into a throwing error to first. The Yankees scored their tying run with runners on first and second with a bunt ground ball that turned into a throwing error to first. The Orioles error brought flashbacks of Brian Roberts' injury when he reached into the baseline on a fielded bunt in an O's-Yankees game years back. Francisco Cervelli is having another absolutely incredible night.

I was at the game tonight, very impressive turnout the stadium was about as full as it's going to be for a Orioles Yankees game

NomarFachix
I'd worry more about the Grandy loss if Gardner wasn't playing out of his mind, I love this kid.

NomarFachix
It's so [expletive]ing easy to get tired of this team sometimes... two perfect bunts plate a run and leave us with runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs... only to watch a grounder back to the pitcher from the $180M man, a strikeout on a ball in the dirt from the $275M man, and then a strikeout from Cano. Inexcusable.
NomarFachix
One more innings with runners on 2nd and 3rd with less than 2 outs and we don't score a run and I'm going to BLOW a fuking GASKET
NomarFachix
Wow. A-Rod just rocked a liner off Huff's face. Hope that the kid is alright, I honestly thought he was dead. He thumbed us up while being taken off.
NomarFachix
Great two innings right there. Nice to see Grandy contribute, and then the big shot by Tex.. Huge for his confidence. Burnett looked rocked solid, nice comeback.
Teletopez
Wow, eight straight Yankees got on base in the seventh inning, and the ninth hit a sac fly. 20 grand slams for A-Rod! It's funny how the Twins chose to intentionally walk Teixeira, leading to Rodgriguez hitting a slam off them, and the Indians made the same decision and paid the same price today. 6-RBI day for Alex. The Yankees retired nineteen straight batters at one point.
NomarFachix
The Yankees retired nineteen straight batters at one point. Then the Ho came on. I think that 3 inning appearance against Boston in April was his only scoreless appearance
Phightins
The Phillies could use '09 Ho in their bullpen right about now...

Teletopez
I think Chan Ho is just having trouble with mechanics. Yesterday, he pitched 1 2/3 innings extremely well with great movement on his pitches. It seemed like mental mistakes caught up to him, leading to the consecutive hits, before Girardi had a talk with him and he quickly got the final out. I'm still willing to be patient with Javi and him.
fish7718
Was there tonight, Mariano's entrance still one of the coolest things in sports
Teletopez
Pretty cool how we were about to go into an off day with a tough loss twice during this past road trip, and both times we rallied in the ninth inning to tie the game and went ahead in the tenth to win it. The last game in Arizona was on the verge of being 2001 World Series Game 7 all over again. 2001, Mo strikes out the side in the eighth inning in Arizona. This time, he retires the batters 1-2-3 in the ninth to send the game into extras. 2001, Arizona rallies to overcome a 2-1 deficit in the ninth inning to win it all. This time, Arizona puts men on second and third with a one-run deficit and no one out. But two popouts and a strikeout followed. Exciting ending to the series. Because of Rivera, three players were ejected in the Yankees-Dodgers series. I find it funny how Rivera got the job done for Torre in close games for over ten years with New York, but the first two times he gets the job done against Torre, Torre is furious with the calls on Mariano's pitches. Teletopez
Monday: Tex homers.Tuesday: A-Rod homers twice, including a grand slam.Wednesday: Tex hits a three-run HR.Thursday: A-Rod scores the tying run following a key baserunning play, and drives in the go-ahead run with a two-run single in the ninth.Friday: Tex homers twice. Our pitching has been nothing short of incredible: 6 runs allowed over the last 5 games.
