Warren2ThaG
http://a.espncdn.com/i/headshots/nba/players/65/3994.jpgKnicks lottery pick Jordan Hill can't find his way into lineup---------"It's bad enough for Jordan Hill that as a lottery pick on a losing team, he can't pry himself off the Knicks' bench. The worst part, however, is that Hill sits while another rookie, an undrafted one at that, plays ahead of him. Marcus Landry, the Knicks' rags to riches story, has factored into Mike D'Antoni's plans recently at the expense of Hill, whose claim to fame right now is that the Knicks selected him last June over Brandon Jennings, who is now starring with the Bucks. "It's a little frustrating not playing," Hill said about his limited role. "But I understand where Coach is coming from. There are veterans in front me." Those veterans include David Lee and Al Harrington, but when asked about seeing the undrafted Landry move ahead of him in the rotation, Hill admitted, "It's a big surprise. But Marcus works hard in practice. He comes early and leaves late."---http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/knicks/2010/01/10/2010-01-10_lottery_pick_hill_a_healthy_scratch_again.html
Poe
I think it's best to develop players early in their careers to allow them to gain confidence and early experience on the court. Maybe I could understand if the team is successful and has a shot at the finals, but this is a borderline playoff team where many of these "veterans" may not be a part of their future plans. In their situation, you have to be thinking about the future and giving the young players a chance, or they'll wind up wasting talent with them sitting on the bench for the rest of their careers, cause a player doesn't become a veteran without ever playing on the court.
Newman
He would get some PT in any team that require more than two big men playing significant minutes in a rotation. Sadly, the Knicks have two big men that put up consistent numbers in Al Harrington and David Lee and when they need a breather Landry is playing. He'll get some playing time eventually I hope for the sake of the Knicks. He can put up the stats if given the time.
Jenneral
I actually liked the way Hill played. I was hoping the Bucks would get to draft either him or Blair in this past year's draft as we don't really have a true power forward. He would fit in well with the Bucks and I could see him as a future starter year round for us. It's unfortunate he's not being used by his current team. Maybe the Bucks could make a move for him? JYD
TBH he's awful and we should have got a PG like jennings...
The Next Knick
He's finally coming through and playing with toughness, strength, and discipline. I expect to see his minutes to keep increasing.
Check my Stats
To quote that late great Darko Milicic: 'Why would they draft me if they didn't want to play me?'
Erick Blasco
I don't see strength, toughness, or discipline, but I see a very nice jump shot. His post game and face up game are mediocre, his defense is bad, and according to a tweet from beat writer Alan Hahn, he's not the hardest worker in practice. Combine that with a philosophy that doesn't need bigs and he isn't going to play much. Landry doesn't play much either, but when Robinson was benched, he was an extra guard. Plus he brings it in practice, so naturally coaches will give him opportunities in games. You want minutes, work your [expletive] off. Coaches will always find minutes for players who work their asses off.
