Cobb
Totally forgot about this thread. What a month of May we had. We had a record of like 20-8. After http://i41.tinypic.com/2dox3b.jpg the Phillies we now are on a eight game winning streak. Now we go on a eleven game road trip. Paul
This road trip is going to show us our true colors. I loved the 2-1 victory today though, showed what are pitching is really about.
Cobb
Derek Lowe now has eight wins which puts him two behind Jimenez.
Cobb
Ballgame. What a frustrating series. I was hoping we'd win 3/4 especially since Gallardo wasn't pitching.  Oh well, all that matters is that the magic number decreases. :glasses: Edited July 19, 2010 by Cobb
Cobb
Jonny Venters suspended four games  mlbbowman MLB has suspended Venters four games and fined him in response to him hitting Fielder Sat. night. Bobby Cox also received 1 gm. suspension. This is ridiculous. I assume they can appeal it? If so, hopefully they do and get it reduced. Cobb
told yaIt doesn't make sense though. How can the MLB look at Venters one way and the Brewers pitcher, who hit Glaus after a warning, a completely different way?
Cobb
What an ugly game last night. Seems like we did everything possible to lose the game. Â The Marlins are on a little roll here. Hopefully Medlen can come through today with a solid start.
Cobb
I really hope Nate McLouth is contemplating suicide right now.
Cobb
ajcbraves Add Tommy Hanson to Scott Boras' stable. Hanson hired Boras as agent this month. Boras now has 3/5ths of #Braves rotation (Jurrjens, Lowe). Time to freak out?

Cobb
David Ross signs a 2 year extension, all but guaranteeing a dynasty. Â Good move. None of our minor league catchers are even good enough to assume a starting role.

Phightins
If the Braves were like 10 games up right now, then I guess posting the magic number update every day would be cool. But when it's August 3rd and you have a team 3 games behind you, that number is basically irrelevant lol.
Cobb
Tom Glavine's #47 was retired tonight and he was inducted into the Braves Hall of Fame. Right now he's speaking.
