Owner Real Deal Posted January 13, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted January 13, 2010 Kobe has a broken index finger on his right hand, with a jammed pinkie and a jacked up ring finger...still shooting hand. Plus, he had back spasms tonight, left the game for a bit and actually sit for most of it later on. Gasol thinks he'll be returning against the Clippers. His hammy is messed up, different leg than earlier in the season as well. Ron Artest just sprained his index finger on his right hand tonight. There's something mentally wrong with Andrew Bynum. How are we going to win an NBA championship with this mess?

kingfish
Kobe also injured his hamstring earlier in the season, and im pretty sure he had a knee problem as well. He gets an injury like literally every game, im starting to wonder what th deal is. Maybe he just has no control over it, faking it, hes soft, I honestly dont know. A new injury for him is no big deal imo, it happens too often.
Warren2ThaG
Only way we'll win a ship this year is with home court and a full healthy squad. Edited January 13, 2010 by Warren2ThaG
The Regime
Well we cant do anything about Kobe's finger, let's just hope everyone else is healthy come playoff time. It just seems like every team in the league is getting hit with injuries this season. The Celts have lost KG, Pierce, and Sheed for some time. The Nuggets have had Billups, Carmelo, and Lawson sit out for a few games. The Magic didnt have Jameer earlier in the season, and now Vince Carter is banged up. The Cavs are lucky they havent been hit with any extreme injuries, they've had a couple role players injured but no one significant. And then you have a team like the Spurs who didnt have Parker and Manu at the beginning of the season. The thing about these teams is that most this injuries will heal with time, as for Kobe's finger he has played through the pain and he'll continue to deal with it. I think we'll be fine. Check my Stats
How come it seems Kobe's hand is messed up every year?
Owner Real Deal Posted January 13, 2010 Author Owner Report Share Posted January 13, 2010 How come it seems Kobe's hand is messed up every year?He refuses to get the surgery in the off-season, and there's no way he'll do it during the regular season (unless he's THAT hurt). His right hand has the dislocated pinkie (since last season), dislocated ring finger (since two seasons ago), and the tear in his index finger (since this past season). He's shooting with a middle finger and a thumb, with a rubber cast on the index finger. I really don't see how he's doing it. He hasn't been shooting all that well in the last 2-3 games, except for last night...he shot 7-10 before leaving the floor (the back spasms I mentioned). We're overworking him. Dr. Feelgood
I read a headline on ESPN, "LA Battered with Injuries" and I laughed. Try having both your centers done for the season (Oden, Przybilla) and your bench depleted (Outlaw, Rudy, Batum, Blake, Pendergraph, Cunningham). Now granted, Blake, Pendergraph, and Cunningham have all come back and Rudy is playing tonight but we've got stretches without a lot of our players and have maintained very nicely. Still though, the Lakers do have some big names that have been out but we have one of the best benches in the league and it helps to have that extra help. Sun Tzu
Wow, does he really play with that?
Owner Real Deal Posted January 14, 2010 Author Owner Report Share Posted January 14, 2010 Wow, does he really play with that? That's when it was dislocated. He doesn't play with it literally hanging there, no...but he does get them popped back in, goes out and keeps playing. I dislocated my pinkie on my shooting hand (same one in the picture), and I didn't play basketball for weeks. It would hurt so bad shooting, even though I don't use my pinkie in my shot (just for support).
JWaLL
http://i50.tinypic.com/1zdahq9.jpgGod that's disgusting... Not sure how he plays with a completely bum-fingered right hand.
