Kavanaugh said the disagreement developed during a team flight back from Phoenix. The other player offered to settle matters with a fist fight, but Arenas, 28, said he was too old for that and suggested he would instead burn the other player's car or shoot him in the face. The argument on the plane ended with the other player saying he would shoot Arenas in his surgically repaired knee.

Two days later, Kavanaugh said, Arenas brought at least one gun to the Verizon Center in a black backpack. He laid out four guns on a chair in front of the other player's locker with a sign saying, "Pick one."

When the other player asked, "What is this?," Arenas responded: "You said you were going to shoot me. Pick one."

The other player said he had his own gun, threw one of Arenas' weapons across the room and then displayed his own firearm, Kavanaugh said.

Since Arenas first acknowledged keeping guns in his locker, he has publicly employed a "goof ball" defense, claiming he wasn't aware of the law, meant no harm and never takes anything seriously.

But he was subdued in court Friday, wearing a gray suit with a light pinstripe and responding in a soft voice to the judge's questions.

Wow... I had no idea Gilbert made that threat about shooting him in the face or burning his car. What a [expletive]ing retard. I don't want to see him in the NBA again and we better void his disgraceful contract. Even his whole joke about laying guns on the chair sounded more threatening than joking in this report. What a disgrace.

This is just disgusting, I'm still in shock, as is the rest of our loyal fanbase.

The worst part is, we're not even sure we can void his contract.

It's so hard to root for them right now, especially knowing most of them don't even have a desire to win anymore. Here's an interesting quote from HoopsHype to prove they don't care:

When asked how the team can focus on basketball moving forward, one player said, "It won't matter. We all going to be out of here anyway."

And the [expletive]ty thing is, he could have been sentenced today but the judge will wait until March 26. This should give Arenas plenty of time to repent his mistakes. I can't even imagine what he's probably going through, just thinking about what's going to happen to him on sentencing day.

Yeah the case got pushed back 8 weeks. That's 8 full weeks of constant stress, I can't imagine trying to sleep with all of this going through my head if I were him.

I was watching ESPNEWS this afternoon, and they had some guys who were at the court house speaking to them right after his court hearing. They were saying how everything is beginning to sink in for Gil, and at one moment, he was standing completely still with his arms to his side, with a complete blank face looking at the ground. They say that's the first time they have seen Gil like this.

It's so hard for me to accept this personally, because of how much I admired him these past 5 years, it's tough on him, the fanbase, and the Wizards organization. I'm just worried about his children and his well being right now.

like i said before. I think hes is just under tumultous pressure to keep up good spirtis in the media for his higly publicized life; after shaq aparently sleepinng with his wife, this incident, and recovering from a surgery that has altered his game forever. I wish him the strength to push on at least for himself and for his kids.

Adidas announced late Friday that it has ended its relationship with Gilbert Arenas, one of their main endorsers.

The company made the move just hours after Arenas entered a guilty plea to a gun charge in D.C. Superior Court Friday.

Arenas' eight-year deal with the company, which began in December 2003, was worth $40 million.
