Im the opposite, Im anti-Packers because of how they handled Favre.

Why? We had to move on at some point. His constant back and forth act was costing us free agents that we could've landed because no one knew if he was coming back or not.

I love Brett as a player but I can't root for him as a Viking.

you should hate Favre too

He did everything we could have possibly asked for when playing for us. He brought us some of the best football the Packers will ever see. Out of all players in the league, he earned the right to come back if he wished. He still had the talent and the fans still loved him. Thompson and McCarthy wanted him out ever since they drafted Rodgers. They wanted to prove that they could do it with their guy instead of Favre who was there before they were.

Totally disgusting. <_<

This is why I hate the packers now.

TD saints, good return and nice effort on the run.

My problem is with him going to Minnesota. I had no problem with him in New York, I even cheered for him last season.

I still like the Packers. But I just don't see why people can hate Favre and call him "a traitor". He was essentially forced out of town. Thompson wanted to make a name for himself, not keep living on someone else's.

They had to move on at some point though. What would we do after Favre retired? Aaron would've been somewhere else because there's no way he'd re-sign with us knowing he'd be a backup. We'd be left with nothing. Now we have one of the best offenses in the NFL that was an okay defensive performance away from possibly being in NO today.

If you were nearing the end of your career, knew you still had what it took, one of the best of all time, etc... would you want to go out on top? Favre isn't dumb. He wants to win one final SB and he picked the perfect team for that. He went to the team with the best running back in the league knowing that it wouldn't all be on him. His job would be pretty easy as more teams would be trying to stop AP. Guess what? It's working. They made it farther than we did and a lot of that was due to Favre's [debatable] best year ever.

I don't consider him a traitor because he left GB. To me its because he's a Viking now. When he was a Jet I still loved him and rooted for him.

He wanted to win. He knew the Vikings were a solid QB away from being a serious threat. He went to Minnesota. They're now competing for a SB bid against the Colts. Who cares what team he's on? Our front office [expletive]ed up and by him playing in purple it's the best way for him to stick it to us. I can only imagine what Thompson's face would look like if Favre wins the SB. ^_^

It isn't Thompson's fault he could never make up his mind. Favre changed his mind at least 3 times with the Packers concerning retirement. They moved on and then a few months later he wanted back. What do you tell Rodgers? Sorry, you lose the job because someone left and now wants it back?

No. You have a QB battle. May the better man win.

Fair enough, no?
