These rosters are a joke. The fan voting is really screwing up who deserves to get in. But the manager picks are pretty bad too. How does Ted Lilly and Jason Marquis get in over Yovani Gallardo. How does Miguel Tejada, Freddy Sanchez, Hunter Pence, get in over Mark Reynolds? How does Michael Young and Curtis Granderson get in over Nelson Cruz and Carlos Pena? I dont like these picks at all. Wakefield is a good story and all, but cmon now. Weaver and Millwood both deserve to get in over him.

Nice Lincecum and Cain. I wish BJ would have gotten in somehow lol. NL has 4 1st basemen... Some of the picks are just dumb though, fan voting is screwed up.

Pedroia is a great player and all, but I thought Hill should of taken his spot as a starter. Even Hill isn't even as close asknow as Pedroia, Hill leads or is in the top all 2B(I think in the AL) in most batting stats. And is like only 2nd to Ichrio in total bases.

He has 10 wins, and he has been extremely consistant, even though he has been lit up a few times.

 

He eats innings for the Boston Red Sox, and he fully deserves the spot

Do I think Kevin Youkilis should be staring?

 

Even though he isn't, he shouldn't be because he's sucked dick for the past month.

What an ignorant post. First you go on about how valuable Wakefield has been allowing 4+ runs a game and how he eats innings, ofcourse Wakefield eats innings because he throws a [expletive]ing knuckleball thus he doesn't get tired. Then you continue to talk about you don't feel like other Red Sox should be starting trying to prove your not bias or something which is completely retarded. I don't care how many wins you have if you have a 4.30 ERA you do not deserve to be in the all star game. The League average is 4.30 on the spot. Thus Wakefield is nothing more than an average pitcher. Then you diss the Mets and the fact that I'm a Mets fan proving more of how much of a baby your acting like. Just because you have 10 wins don't mean you belong in the all-star game [expletive]ing Kevin Slowey has 10 Wins.

 

The fact Wakefield 10 Wins 4.30 ERA 1.35 ERA made it in over

Weaver 8 Wins 3.10 ERA 1.13 WHIP is a crime

As I said in my initial post to you, I thought all along that Hawpe had a decent shot to make the team.

 

As for Marquis, he absolutely did not deserve it over some of the guys who got snubbed. He was a long shot, but somehow he made it. Not quite sure what Charlie was thinking there, but as we are all learning, the selection process is 100% politics from top to bottom.

ECN I've lost a lot of respect for your opinions when it comes to baseball. First of all it is obvious to anyone Johan Santana is the best pitcher in the National League. Second Johan is in because he is top 15 in every major pitching stat. Third I agree there are some pitchers that deserved it over Johan but it's not a huge difference as opposed to Weaver vs Wakefield which is an absolute joke.
