Guest The Situation
Should it be looked into and changed? Some of the changes that could be implemented. 1. Set the OT to about 8 mins and whoever has the lead at the end wins. 2. First team to score 6 point wins, this rules out a 1 FG win. Meaning you need to either score a td or kick 2 FGs to win. 3. Play in the NCAA format. ================================== Only reason I bring this up is because after last night alot of the media outlets are hitting on it. If the Vikings won in OT, would this even have been brought up? I don't think so. Edited January 25, 2010 by The Situation
Doc
I love the NCAA format, I hope that a new rule. I also like that first to 6 points idea.
The Regime
Eh, I would much rather keep it the way it is. I think implementing the 6 pt rule would result in a lot of ties for the NFL.
bigdog17k
I think it should be changed. I like the whoever has the lead at the end of OT wins. It's basically like basketball that way.

La Bomba
I love the NCAA format and I think it's the best way to find the winner. It may take longer, but the most deserving team will usually win.
fly3rs18
i has to be changed and i think the NCAA format would be best for the league. its so much more exciting and fair IDK personally I like the sudden death feeling of overtime, keep it how it is. bigdog17k
play a full 15 minute quarter +
Phightins
They definitely have to come up with something. I would love to see the NCAA format but I can also see the arguments against it. I know most defensive coordinators would probably hate it.
fish7718
Def no to the NCAA format it would boost stats so much for players and college football and NFL are two very differnt sports kickers in the NFL can kick 50 yard field goals all day. I say keep it the way it is or play a full 15.
Lkr
If it is the NCAA format, you have to make the teams start at their own 20 yard line. You can't give the teams the ball on the opponent's territory
BeeZee
I have no problems with the way overtime is currently set up.
