Doc
I know he still hurt, but I was wondering if he was going to try and play in the ASG. I hope he doesn't he could really use the rest and give the spot to someone more deserving (cough*cough). This also frees up a spot for another foward on the team. Thoughts? Check my Stats
He shouldn't for 2 reasons. 1 to be healthy and 2 to let the superior player start . Anyways I read on RealGM that he is 100% and they aren't worried about limiting his minutes in Boston, so I don't see why he would skip the game. If it were up to me, Bosh wouldn't even play a single minute in the All-Star game. The game is completely meaningless and I'd rather see Bosh just take the entire week off and focus on making a push for the 5th seed. Then again, I have never really cared all that much about All-Star games. I find them pretty pointless. I'll watch them, but I don't give a damn about them. It's like a milestone for them, an accomplishment, and also a recognition for what they've done. To the players, the fact that they were chosen to be an all star means something, even if the event itself is meaningless.
JWaLL
If KG's injury status is even as minor as day-to-day, I wouldn't risk playing him even one minute in the game. He already earned the all star spot, let him just enjoy the weekend by watching the game in street clothes on the side, and let someone else fill in for him. Celtics3420
I hope not, and if i were DA, i'd tell whoever was coaching the AS Game to limit KG to 5 minutes of action(basically allow him to play the 1st 5 minutes of the game for the fans' sake) and leave him out for the rest. if that happens, i'll be a happy fan. I just prefer that the best players start in the game to celebrate the best players of that particular season. It bugs me that a role player like KG is starting in the all-star game. I probably won't even watch but I get annoyed that Iverson and KG are starting when they shouldn't even be there to begin with.
