The Regime
The game overall wasnt as good as last years SuperBowl, but atleast the underdog won. I feel bad for Peyton, he was pist when Stover missed that 51 yard fg I wonder how he felt after he threw that int. Phightins
the half time shows have been solid since Super Bowl 39. The only one I didn't like was Bruce Springsteen I've liked all of them except for Prince. But that was still a good show, he just isn't my favorite. I loved Bruce last year . BeeZee
The game went by incredibly fast. Both halves just flew by. That onside kick was one of the gutsiest calls I can ever remember on this big a stage. Unbelievable. Great, great call by Sean Payton. Drew Brees was OUTSTANDING tonight. Tied the Super Bowl record with 32 completions and the 2nd highest completion percentage with 82% or so. If there was ever any doubt whether or not he was on Manning/Brady or anyone else's level, that doubt has been removed. I'm extremely happy for the Saints and their fans, and especially Drew Brees (former Charger - glad he got a ring). That interception from Porter was just awesome, by the way. It's going to be the longest celebration ever down in New Orleans. WHO DAT!!!!! DA SAINTS, DAT'S WHO!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats to the Saints organization and their fans. Lkr
Prince, Timberlake, Stones, Bruce... all meh. Why can't they bring in some fresh blood. When was Timberlake there? Its been McCartney, Stones, Prince, Petty, Springsteen, and now The Who. All were great shows, except Bruce Much better than having someone like the Black Eyed Peas there. They would get booed off the stage.

But honestly, as great as some of these performers were back in the day, they are far past their prime for the performance. The who tonight were very average for a live performance, you can tell they have aged, hell they had what looked a 20 year old drummer playing, unless you were a fan of them for their earlier work, you would think it sucked balls. NFL is just afraid because of the whole Janet Jackson fiasco. There is plenty of modern day bands that would put a good halftime show thats not called the black eyed peas or Britney spears. Legacy
Pretty boring super bowl, imo. Especially since I had high expectations.

Unfortunately, most of the really good modern bands are not nearly popular enough to get a Super Bowl gig. That's why they keep trotting out the old bands, because they have a good reputation and a huge following. Obviously none of these guys are in their prime anymore, but they are still a hell of a lot better than the alternatives.

Lkr
We were discussing the Super Bowls after that though I thought. And no modern band is going to get the crowd singing along with them or enjoying the show. The NFL is catering to its prime audience, which is middle aged adults. La Bomba
I hope Peyton gets another ring because he's a class act and definitely one of the best players to play the game. His legacy may be a bit tarnished because of that interception. This is basically the first a non-national team that I like has won a championship. About time. Cobb
Was hoping the Colts would win but oh well. I only watched like ten minutes of it before I got bored.
