Universe
http://www.netsdaily.com/?p=9791 On Thursday, Amar’e Stoudemire said he thinks the Nets have “potential”. On Monday, Adrian Wojnarowski reports the Nets are one of four teams to show “strong interest” in the 6′10″ Suns power forward. Phoenix, increasingly concerned they may not be able to re-sign Stoudemire, are seeking offers. Besides the Nets, Woj writes the Bulls, Heat and 76ers are interested. No word on who or what the Nets would offer. Edited January 26, 2010 by Universe
bigdog17k
I would rather him go here than Cleveland. Srong interest is good to hear.
Teletopez
I really didn't want him last year, and I'm not too big on getting him this year. Health is not a guarantee, a positive attitude is not a guarantee, and we would probably end up giving Phoenix a bit more than what's reasonable to get him. I've read that the Nets have probably already talked to his agent about a signing in the summer, so if he stays in Phoenix for the remainder of the season, the Nets can get him without giving up any key pieces. Having him could be a great success, or it could cause some problems with Lopez and Amar'e having to work well together. A lot of factors play in, and if we do end up getting him, I hope everything works out as planned.
KurbyFX
CDR or Lee + Yi + A Pick + Fillers would probably be the offer I assume? Lopez/Amare looks nice on paper. Will the Nets still have cash to sign a FA?
Universe
Don't wanna give too much since he might leave so Yi, Terrence and Dooling for an offer. I also don't see the point of bringing him in this season as it'll only frustrate him losing and also playing in the IZOD. Wait till the off-season when we have a coach, our draft pick position and if we will be playing in Newark.
Klashnekoff
We don't want a very strong force in scoring from our PF (nets). We want to leave the post to Lopez and him only, we want a shooting PF athletic big man which is what Yi is. I don't want to see the Nets intervene with the growth of Yi and Lopez. Whoever we sign must not disturb that duo that is forming because i think this is the biggest thing the Nets have in motion and that is the chemistry being formed between key youth franchise figures for the Nets. Lopez and Yi are our future and Amare coming in wouldn't work for us. We need a playmaker and superstar which is either Lebron James or Dwywane Wade to take us to our first ring. If we land D-Wade and Bron together then all the better.
