Built Ford Tough
Another intriguing suitor could emerge in the bidding for Phoenix Suns star Amar’e Stoudemire: the San Antonio Spurs. Multiple league sources say the Spurs’ front office has researched and debated pursuing Stoudemire to play alongside Tim Duncan(notes). There are questions for the Spurs to answer: Would they be willing to part with the personnel – including possibly Manu Ginobili(notes) – to make a deal happen? More From Adrian WojnarowskiSuns seeking trade offers for Stoudemire Jan 25, 2010 Cavs, teammates put Kobe in grumpy mood Jan 22, 2010 Do the Spurs want to re-sign Stoudemire to a contract extension and swell their payroll? Do they believe Stoudemire could be the difference for their fifth championship? All questions with no clear answers for the Spurs – yet. Nevertheless, the possibility of an athletic, offensive force like Stoudemire has become too irresistible to easily dismiss. The Spurs (25-18) have lost five of their past six games, and have fallen into sixth place in the Western Conference. The Spurs have always maintained an interest in Toronto Raptors forward Chris Bosh, a Texas native, but Raptors’ general manager Bryan Colangelo has yet to show a strong inclination to trade his star before his impending free agency this summer. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=Ak36sQnPKK4Du6cL9qmD9JU5nYcB?slug=aw-stoudemirespurs012610&prov=yhoo&type=lgns Not that I think that the Spurs would land either one of these two, but for arguments sake, who would be a better fit on the Spurs, Amare Stoudemire or Chris Bosh? Owner Real Deal Posted January 27, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted January 27, 2010 Bosh. He tries to play defense and he's younger, and I'm not sure how Amare will fare without Nash these days. If the Spurs had both trades locked down, and they had to pick one, it's Bosh every day of the week.
Sun Tzu
Amar'e would be almost the last person to fit into the Spurs' team tbh.
