crabbylion
Every year EA drops a "new" title by making a few "upgrades" and slapping the current year on the cover. The minute the new one comes out, the prior one drops significantly in price. Like yesterday, for example. I have little ones at home so I needed a break from the norm. Way too much Little Big Planet going on in my house. I went to my local Game Stop to find something for my football fix. I ended up grabbing NCAA '09 for $13 instead of NCAA '10 for $55. Now i'm thinkin' how bad can this be? Man, how about I spent hours on that "old" game last night. I played it like it was some brand new s*it that just came out. All i'm saying is I got suckered into this marketing ploy for years, but no more. I'm not 17 anymore and able to spend my life earnings on over priced sports titles. The bottom line is some people just wanna play some damn football, not get caught up in what's new and whats not. PS: For this same reason I couldn't keep up w/ the Madden franchise. Every time you turn around a new one is droppin!
fish7718
Madden 09 to Madden 10 is a such a huge difference in gameplay but I see where you are coming from.
JWaLL
Well apparently they are going to "dumb down" Madden 11, so we'll see what they have in store for us. Maybe the "new upgrade" for that title is taking away all of the old upgrades from the previous titles.
Lkr
Madden 09 and Madden 10 have huge differences. NCAA 09 is a joke compared to 10. 09 was fun, but most things about it were horrid. Buying at gamestop is a worse practice than supporting EA btw
JYD
most of the time it's true but just for the new rosters i'll get the new one.

SRV
Thats why I am not that into sports games anymore. You are forced to buy a new game every year, which takes away money to buy a real quality game coming out in that same time. I only buy a sports games like once every 3 years. On ps2 I was only into sports games, then I got into other games and I really didn't care for them anymore. Plus playing a sports game really just makes me want to go play the real sport. crabbylion
^^No doubt. Only I wish I could do without a sports game for a few years at a time. I wish they would just charge us $100 or so for one title and give us the options to download yearly patches. Hell, maybe even throw in some superb off season mode.
