xx.
Portland expressed interest in acquiring Washington center Brendan Haywood, but the asking price was far too high. The Wizards wanted both Rudy Fernandez and Nicolas Batum in exchange for Haywood. http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/64350/20100129/wizards_wanted_rudy_and_batum_from_portland_for_haywood/ Wow.. Owner Real Deal Posted January 29, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted January 29, 2010 Ew. Rudy isn't playing good at all this season, and I don't even think Batum has played but three games. Haywood is giving the Wizards a near double-double right now, and he's the only player on that roster that plays defense (and he's actually not that bad of a defensive player at the five). JWaLL
http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/64350/20100129/wizards_wanted_rudy_and_batum_from_portland_for_haywood/ Wow.. By wow, do you mean we're asking for too much or not enough? Haywood is giving us a double double performance nearly every night and is by far our best post defender (and not too bad for a starting center either). If anything I think we can get more out of him.
Warren2ThaG
Wow lmao, Blazers would rather get David Lee. geezus
ChosenOne
Haywood is playing well but they are asking for way to much, Rudy has been injured alot this year but I think after the allstar break he will start playing well.

ChosenOne
So has Batum... he's only played 2 games this year. Do you like giving the only defensive player you guys have?
JWaLL
Do you like giving the only defensive player you guys have? We're trying to rebuild, so I wouldn't mind this trade. We can always bring in more defenders through other trades as well.
Erick Blasco
Batum's a specialist, Fernandez is a really interesting player who has a lot of Manu Ginobili in him, but this may be a case of the Blazers needing a big man more than Fernandez and Batum. Basketball Prospectus ran an article on Portland's interior defense---they've been getting shredded at the rim ever since Pryzbilla went down. From the Wizards side, they need young talent---though go figure, they're asking for two wings.
