Favorite underrated movie?

I'll stick with my quote from what I said previously in a similar thread.

I'll go with Stay (2005) directed by Marc Forster and starring Naomi Watts, Ewan McGregor, and Ryan Gosling. It was mainly panned by critics, because it was "too confusing." One critic even went as far as saying, "The brain power you expend making sense of it is better spent elsewhere." Technically it's a very well made movie, and it's not something that's truly been done before. With every viewing you find more and more clues and hints that reveal the ending. Most will likely not get the ending on their first watch; it's a movie that requires multiple viewings to fully appreciate. It's one of very few movies these days that, surprisingly, make you think rather than state out everything for the viewer.

The Good Shepherd (2006) directed by Robert De Niro and starring Matt Damon, Angelina Jolie, Alec Baldwin, Billy Crudup, Tammy Blanchard, Robert De Niro, William Hurt, Timothy Hutton, and Joe Pesci is another movie. I loved it, but the critics were mainly split.

American Psycho, Crash, Any Given Sunday, Blow, 25th Hour

With the exception of Any Given Sunday, most of those movies have a fairly large fan base. Not sure I'd call them underrated.

My favorite (by far) out of that list is 25th Hour. Wonderful movie, one of the best movies of the past decade.
