The man is in the discussion for best center in the league. Even if I know he'll have injury problems until he dies, I keep him, because it's that large of a boost when he does play. Haywood is looking to get paid next season and assuming he does resign with Houston then he were merely be Yao's backup, which I don't see him being too happy with. If it is known at the end of the season that Yao will not be healthy for the next season, they will definitely make a strong push to resign Haywood.
