Oh, that sucks.

Still, maybe Jones and Cook/Chalmers and a first pick would do for just Blake. Hopefully, if the Heat are pursuing a trade like this, that they could squeeze a bit more value than just one point guard.

Blake ain't worth that much dude.

Why are you speaking on the off-season already?!?

Getting Johnson in FA is probably your best bet if you don't land Bosh, which I personally don't think he will want play under Wade's shadow but that is just me. I really like JJ and him and Wade could probably play the 1 and 2 since both can handle, wouldn't need a PG really.

Why would you want Gilbert Arenas? I would never want that no-defense chucker on my team. If you could bring JJ and Boozer in that would be pretty good, both are right under max value deals so could you afford that?

1. This season is a waste and this team has A TON of holes that need to be fixed before they wanna be competitive again.

2. Johnson is definitely a good option but so is Bosh.

3. I would absolutely welcome Gilbert only if he can accept a role as the number 2 guy. I don't want Boozer at all.

I wouldn't want anything to do with Gilbert, personally. He is the exact opposite of what this team needs.

What the Heat need in a point guard:

- A player who plays tough defense on the ball and smart defense off the ball.

- A threat from the 3 point arc and knock down his open looks.

- A skilled ballhandler who makes smart decision (high assist/TO ratio).

- Less ball dominant to allow the stars to be playmakers.

- A true point guard.

What Gilbert brings:

- Lacking effort defensively, will get the occasional steal.

- A somewhat average three point shooter who prefers to shoot off the dribble rather than spot up.

- A skilled ball handler, yet a low assist/TO ratio. Will try to force plays.

- Ball dominant and will take the ball out of Wade's hands to stuff his own stats.

- An SG who plays PG.

Believe me. Getting Arenas to Miami would be a disaster.
