Teletopez
DALLAS -- The ankle injury that has sidelined Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant for the last three games will knock him out of Sunday's All-Star Game as well. The NBA has lined up Jason Kidd of the hometown Dallas Mavericks to replace the ailing Bryant, sources told ESPN.com. ESPN.com has also learned Allen Iverson won't participate (personal matters) and will be replaced by New York's David Lee.ESPN
Owner Real Deal Posted February 11, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted February 11, 2010 MONTA ELLIS IS GETTING ROBBED. Nice to see Lee get in, though. He deserves it.
Cleveland's Finest
Shaq>Lee any day, expecially playoffs, but it's the Cavalier hater version of Allstar weekend. Good to see another Dallas player.
Flash
As much as I despise him...Josh Smiff is gettin snubbed.

BlueDevil
RD just owned there ^ Jason Kidd? Really? Shoulda been Monta Ellis. Also J smooth should be in, but instead of Horford.
AboveLegit
Shaq doesn't deserve to be in the ASG....at all. Good for Lee and Kidd, they deserved it.

Seriously. Kidd is suspect, Ellis should definitely be in over him, I guess hometown is an excuse to get another undeserved all-star into the game
Owner Real Deal Posted February 11, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted February 11, 2010 If Monta Ellis is truly injured, I understand. I just realized he didn't play last night against the Clips, so maybe that really is the issue...and maybe he would've been inserted into the lineup had he played, but I doubt it. AboveLegit
Aaron Brooks probably should've gotten the nod instead of Kidd, but oh well, Kidd is the hometown guy, so this was probably just a move to increase ratings.
Legacy
Monta could have played yesterday, but he chose to rest his knee. He could have played in the all-star game. I guess he just isn't made to be in Dallas this year.

fish7718
DAVVVVVIDDDD LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, There should be a rule, if you are avenging 20 10 @ ASB the only way you don't make it is if like every other player making it in is averaging 20 10 . Erick Blasco
There's nothing really special Ellis is doing besides compiling points on a bad team. And how Josh Smith still isn't an All-Star is mind-boggling. He's the main reason they've taken the leap they have. Lee's become an excellent offensive player and rebounder, while being a horrible defender on a losing team. Smith's been excellent across the board and actually contributing to wins.
Dr. Feelgood
Congrats to Lee and Kidd. I think Monta didn't make it because he truly is injured but I think I'd prefer to have Brooks in over Kidd. If Monta is healthy, got snubbed again. As for Smith, it's a shame but it is what it is. Owner Real Deal Posted February 12, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted February 12, 2010 I could actually argue that Gasol is nearly on Dirk's level right about now.
Check my Stats
I could actually argue that Gasol is nearly on Dirk's level right about now. How is that possible when all anyone does these days is call him a soft [expletive]?
ChosenOne
How is that possible when all anyone does these days is call him a soft [expletive]? Yeah he is soft but that does not take away from him being a great player. Gasol gets him in just about everything except ppg, but then again Dirk has taken just about double the shots Pau has, so you really cant even compare that.
