Built Ford Tough
The dunk contest is such a joke now. The entire thing is nothing more than one big gimmick. Whatever happened to when the contest was actually about the dunks that took place and not the acting before/after the dunk occured? Obviously I'll be watching it and cheering for DeRozan to win it, but I miss back iin the early parts of this decade when the dunks were the actual focal point of the contest, and not the gimmicks. If we think of the greatest dunk contest in this decade (Carters victory) he just went up and threw down. now you need a gimmick. such a shame. Owner Real Deal Posted February 12, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted February 12, 2010 Maybe he'll do a Thriller pose in mid-air, before he throws it down. But seriously, I hope it's not just him wearing the Thriller jacket...but that's what I think will happen.
Dr. Feelgood
Sure, we all miss the good ol' days of the dunk contest, but what else is there really left to do that hasn't already been done? I mean, I definitely agree with you guys on how the dunk contest isn't nearly as exciting as it once was but...what else is there?
Built Ford Tough
[expletive], I would've rathered him get gimmicky as hell with the contest than this garbage that we saw tonight.
