Thats another thing, if you play by yourself you will get messed up quickly, you gotta know what your team does in order to succeed. Like my friend always walked into the middle like a mad man and I picked up the good weapon while the entire team focused on killing him. I played a lot of wingman though, I am really good at that. If you are the host you 1-shot people like crazy and can do some ultimate bull[expletive]. Awesome game if you are the host. Tough if you aren't. Only use the lancer in the beginning of the round or when you are shooting from a distance. Also, if you are in close combat, melee first and then shoot with the shotgun, that is called two piecing and it is basically an instant kill if you don't miss. I don't know if this has been fixed or not, but if someone is revving their chainsaw and coming toward you, RUNN, it is like a vacuum, just run back and shoot them with your shotgun. Watch the "good" weapons that spawn in the middle. People always run at them like idiots and its an easy way to get them down with the lancer. Make sure to active reload in the beginning of the game, just shoot a clip and then get the active reload and run out. That way you have someone to back you up at all times, and you will back them up, and the opportunity to kill someone will present itself. Once you learn the maps, you can get a kill by sticking grenades on the wall in every round.  Don't snipe unless you are really good with it, its only a kill if you get a headshot, it is a great melee weapon though because it is really long. Never walk around by yourself, stick by your teammate.  Use cover for everything, don't turn a corner without peaking around first.  That is basically it. Depending on the game mode you will figure out your strategies. To get a lot of kills quickly just play King of the Hill, its very fun and you can rack up kills easily. Just remember the shotgun is really the only useful weapon, once you learn how to use it [Two-piecing] you are pretty much unstoppable. SRV Posted February 13, 2010 Report Share Posted February 13, 2010 (edited) If you are in close combat with someone, have the shotgun out. Click B to melee that person, it stuns them for a second, and while they are stunned just put your shotgun into their stomach or close to it and shoot, he will split in half, and you got yourself a kill. You don't even need to aim, just melee and shoot. Kind of like Halo where you chase someone down with your gun and then melee them to finish them off, just in reverse. I like having one teammate I know really well and I can depend on rather than five who have no idea what to do.
