YoSixers
The Grizzlies and Clippers agreed in principle to a trade involving Zach Randolph, but Los Angeles owner Donald Sterling nixed the deal. During Thursday night's NBA Draft, the two clubs worked out a deal centered around Randolph and Darko Milicic. Memphis guard Greg Buckner would have also been part of the trade. After Sterling stopped the deal, the Grizzlies traded Milicic to the Knicks for Quentin Richardson. http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/60123/20090627/sources_sterling_nixed_randolph_swap_with_griz/ This was an incredibly stupid decision by Sterling. He wonders why the Clippers never win. He doesn't let his team win, he hires a new GM but he doesn't even let him make deals to help his team. OldChili
Who honestly wants Randolph on their team...
Owner Real Deal Posted June 29, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted June 29, 2009 Darko would've contributed more to the Clippers than Randolph. He's not that great of a player, but he's not that bad of a defender. His defensive IQ is higher than I had expected. Ironically, he reminds me of Kwame in that regard. Nevertheless, a stupid move by Sterling.
