fish7718
Haha this made me laugh.[expletive].This makes me incredibly irritated. Who is Chris Clemons? Some random douche who just took one of our best young player’s position, that’s who. [expletive]. Lol another one They are definitely dumb enough to give us a first round pick for Kolb.Strike while the iron is hot, fatman. Pull the [expletive]in’ trigger! I should read Philly forums more often Edited March 17, 2010 by Fish7718

fly3rs18
nice job by reid though. clemons was trash, average defensive end at his best. i dont know much about tapp, but there is no way he could be worse then clemons. plus he is young and will work with cole and i like mike bell. he will work well with mccoy and weaver. bigdog17k
T.O vs. Jay Cutler could be a funny thing to watch. Owens would get upset and yell, while Jay would cry.
ChosenOne
Report: Derek Anderson signs with Cardinals KTAR Sports 620 reports that the Cardinals will sign free agent Derek Anderson on Wednesday. If the report is legit, Matt Leinart just caught a big break. Though big-armed, Anderson is perhaps the most inaccurate passer in the league and dealt with serious confidence issues throughout his final two years in Cleveland. The Regime
Eagles Release Shawn Andrews PhillyBurbs.com - The Eagles have finally released Shawn Andrews, the one-time all-pro offensive lineman whose last couple years have been marked by what he described as clinical depression and lingering back issues. Andrews, a two-time Pro Bowl pick, has not played in a regular-season game since Week 2 of the 2008 season. He underwent back surgery in 2008 and again last year, but there have been lingering questions about Andrews' desire to play for several years. He missed time in training camp in 2008 while battling depression. With the move, the Eagles wipe out $22.5 million in future salary - base salaries of $2 million in 2010, $2.5 million in 2011, $2.75 million in 2012, $3.75 million in 2013, $5.25 million in 2014 and $6.25 million in 2015. http://football.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/16307/20100317/eagles_release_shawn_andrews/
Warren2ThaG
Seattle Acquired backup Charlie Whitehurst from San Diego and gave him a 2 year contract at $5m per. To get him we swapped 2nd rounders and gave up a 2011 3rd.
Warren2ThaG
Carroll: Whitehurst to push for starting job---Seahawks coach Pete Carroll suggested Thursday that Charlie Whitehurst will be given the opportunity to push Matt Hasselbeck for the starting quarterback job this season."Charlie is coming in here to battle," said Carroll. "He's going to show where he fits into the whole thing." Though Carroll pointed out that Hasselbeck is leading the offense, he qualified it by adding that Whitehurst "is going to take his shot at it every turn." Whitehurst's rate of development in the new offense will determine how quickly he can give Hasselbeck a run for his money. We still expect Whitehurst to open the season on the bench if Hasselbeck remains with the team. To get him we swapped 2nd rounders and gave up a 2011 3rd. A third pick and dropping back 20 picks in a rich draft is not exactly great for a quarterback who's never played a regular-season snap. Another Carroll gem. Carroll's back outta the league in four years, tops.
fly3rs18
eagles released kevin curtis and darren howard they have cut so much cap space but have done almost nothing. and they were already millions under the cap before the year

Just a thought

The Artesticle
No cap means no league minimum, maybe the eagles are in trouble financially behind close doors? Just a thoughtlol no chance Eagles always sell out in Philly and they are one of the cheapest teams in the league. This is just Banner and Co. trying to save some more dollars because there are no cap hits for releasing players this offseason. That being said, I could care less about Curtis, Howard, or Andrews. I'm still upset about us releasing Spoon and not making a bigger splash in free agency.
fly3rs18
there is absolutely no way they are in financial trouble. as said above, they sell out every game, sell tons of merchandise jerseys, etc. they are just cheap and its getting old. fish7718
if you mean acquiring the best pitcher in the league is becoming a trend in philly, then yesYou guys got Tim Lincecum? Oh nvm you got a 33 year old and gave him a 4 year deal. ^_^ Then you gave away the most dominant post season pitch I've seen in a while fot notta. Oh but that was a good move I forgot. Guest Need4Sheed
^ It's arguable. Halliday is top 3 pitcher in the league. Everyone would have loved to see Lee with him but it didnt happen. Eagles are in no way near financial trouble. Joe 'Jewball' Banner has that team well under cap. He is just cheap. I honestly do see something happening big with the Eagles come draft day.
