bigdog17k
Report: Ricky will keep playing beyond 2010-------A league source has informed Profootballtalk.com that Ricky Williams intends to continue playing beyond 2010. Williams doesn't have a contract for 2011 and turns 33 in a couple of months, but he's still playing at a very high level. He's also in a whole lot of debt, and needs money. Williams, in a contract year, is due $4.35M in 2010.Source
The Regime
Cardinals Sign Joey Porter To Three-Year Deal NFL.com - Linebacker Joey Porter agreed to a three-year contract Friday with the Cardinals after making the Washington Redskins his second visit. “It is exciting on many levels,” coach Ken Whisenhunt said. “Two areas that come to mind are his productivity on the field, (because) getting 26½ sacks over the last two years is pretty impressive, especially considering last year with not even playing a full season. Also the mentality he brings, it’s something we have made great progress with as a team. Having another veteran player, who has had great success in this league, to contribute to that will only help us in an area defensively where we want to improve.” Porter had nine sacks last season with Miami before the Dolphins cut him. He is expected to fill the starting spot held by departing free agent Chike Okeafor and gives the Cards a needed pass-rush threat. http://football.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/16339/20100319/cardinals_sign_joey_porter_to_three_year_deal/ Great signing for the Cards, they needed a guy outside of Dockett who could rush the passer. Hence the joke. The only players Toronto got in that deal were Phillies prospects, so maybe you should get your facts straight before you call people retarded. I think they can afford 9 mill to one guy, maybe you should stop living in denial. BTW the Mets payroll is only 12 mill higher than the Phillies payroll so you shouldn't throw stones there buddy. Anyway back to football.
Flash
Wait, but if you could've had both why did you trade Lee? Either way, who cares. Nice signing for Arizona. When he wants to, Joey can be a special player off the edge.
fly3rs18
Wait, but if you could've had both why did you trade Lee? Either way, who cares. lee was gone after the year (or after next year, i forget), the phillies werent going to be able to compete with other teams to resign him. so they traded him now and got some prospects so they actually had a farm team again. if they kept lee then yes it would have been great right now, but it would also have sucked in a few years when they phillies had absolutely no prospects to bring up. its a balance between winning now and continuing to win in the future. you dont want to wreck your future to have an insane team for a year

The Regime
McDaniels: Orton Is Denver's Starter ESPN - Broncos coach Josh McDaniels says there's "no question" Kyle Orton is the team's starting quarterback. However, McDaniels is leaving room open for Brady Quinn to compete for the job. "He's a guy who made the most of an opportunity he was given last year," McDaniels said of Orton. "Kyle started all but one game for us last year, and he's got the respect of his teammates and coaches and we look forward to him improving. Now Brady's here competing, and as always, players determine their roles by what they do on the field." http://football.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/16377/20100323/mcdaniels_orton_is_denvers_starter/

I think he will have a even big year with Cardinals because of how bad that division they are in. Porter should have no problem rushing the passer with a great dline in front of him... The Artesticle
Eagles signed RB Mike Bell from the Saints. Not a big move, but a good one. A rotation of McCoy-Weaver-Bell is pretty decent. At the very least, it saves us from having to use a pick in the draft for a RB, so we can focus on other needs. In other news, all is quiet on the Westbrook front. I'd love for him to come back, for a cheaper price. I think he still has something left, as long as we use him sparingly. He'd be a deadly weapon to plug into the offense. But my senses tell me he's probably going to retire.

bigdog17k
http://static.nfl.com/static/content/catch_all/nfl_image/Reid_Andy.jpgReid: Teams entertaining us with QB offersCoach Andy Reid admitted that people are "entertaining" the Eagles with offers for their three quarterbacks. Ashley Fox of the Philadelphia Inquirer says it's "growing ever unlikely" that the Eagles will still have all their quarterbacks after the draft. She says that the Eagles have lowered their asking price for Donovan McNabb and Kevin Kolb from a first-round pick to a "fair" price, such as a second-round pick or a combination of high picks. We highly doubt Kolb is going anywhere, but this report at least confirms that the Eagles could very well be willing to move on from McNabb.Source Haha, I love how Reid calls it "entertaining" But this report could confirm that the Eagles could part with McNabb. Man he and McNabb are just joined at the hip.

This strays from what Carroll claimed just a week ago, when he said that "Charlie is coming here to battle" and that Whitehurst is "going to take his shot at it every turn." If Hasselbeck isn't traded, we'd expect him to hold the job as the veteran incumbent, but he'll be on a very short leash.Schefter
Guest Need4Sheed
Haha, I love how Reid calls it "entertaining" You never heard the term 'entertaining offers' in regards to listening to proposed deals? It's used all the time. I basically means they are listening and discussing possible transactions.
Flash
It would be team suicide to hand that team to Kevin Kolb. You're better off keeping Vick if you want to get rid of McNabb.
