Dash
Per Adrian Wojo tweets. Wizards near completion of trade that sends Caron Butler and DeShawn Stevenson to Dallas for Josh Howard and one other player, source says. The Wiz and Mavs still discussing whether Quinton Ross or Tim Thomas will go Washington with Howard, league source says. *sigh* Time for Houston to move on. ChosenOne
I dont want Butler anyways so this is all good with me.
JWaLL
That's the best we could do? I have no idea why the Houston trade never went down... but whatever. This will provide much needed cap relief for the offseason, but it will be very sad to see Butler go.
JWaLL
Wait, the update is saying Butler, Haywood, and Deshawn for Howard and Gooden. That's WAY worse of a trade for us...

Dash
Update: The teams were negotiating whether to expand the trade to include Wizards center Brendan Haywood, but one source with knowledge of the talks said he doesn’t expect the core of the deal – Butler and Howard – to unravel. Wizards guard DeShawn Stevenson is expected to be moved to Dallas in either deal involving Butler. The Mavericks would send Quinton Ross(notes) or Tim Thomas(notes) and possibly Drew Gooden if the trade also includes Haywood
Check my Stats
Wizards management has to be near the worst in the NBA.
BasX
Well, at least they are going out West.
Check my Stats
I think Haywood is going to be an amazing pickup for the Mavs at the C spot next to Dirk. A banger who can play a good hard 30 minutes a game and strong defensively. Wizards trade a serviceable big man just to cut a year off of a contract, just pathetic. I love the make up of this Mavericks team now.
AboveLegit
J-Ho most likely will be coming back to Dallas as well, or at least that's what I've been reading. I don't know if they will land Haywood though, if that is the case, we better get a pick out of all this since Cuban is so attached to Rodrigue. I don't see any way that the Wizards would just give back Josh Howard like that. A pick wouldn't have been bad considering the upcoming draft is pretty damn deep...Barea would have been nice too.
