The Regime
The Lakers are attempting to clear some salary by offering Luke Walton and Sasha Vujacic. They have had discussions with an unlikely trade partner, the Portland Trail Blazers, according to one league source. Real GM

magicbalala245
Out of all the people to take are worst players on the team we call Portland no way Portland helps LA by taking Luke & Sasha
Guest California Dreamin'
Lakers: Hinrich. Bulls: Outlaw, Morrison, and Farmar. Blazers: Thomas and MBenga.
Check my Stats
I am guessing the Lakers will begin pushing especially hard to get Hinrich if/once the Cavaliers land Amare.

You make the deal for him because you're getting a top 5 defensive PG without giving up any of your core players. Hinrich is better than any PG the Lakers can get in free agency with the MLE. Owner Real Deal Posted February 15, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted February 15, 2010 This is what's being reported by two different ESPN guys, and a guy that covers sports for FSN Oklahoma (Thunder TV)... Tyrus Thomas and Sasha Vujacic to PortlandKirk Hinrich to Los AngelesSteve Blake, Travis Outlaw, Adam Morrison, and a first-round pick (or Juwan Howard) to Chicago
Sky
That's what has been offered, doesn't mean Portland will accept it. Given that there's reports out that the Blazers were asking teams if they wanted Sasha, it'd clear they wouldn't want Vujabrick either. Dr. Feelgood
I honestly don't see this trade happening for the Blazers. We don't really need Tyrus or Sasha at all. So I don't think it'll be happening.
Guest California Dreamin'
This is what's being reported by two different ESPN guys, and a guy that covers sports for FSN Oklahoma (Thunder TV)... Chicago and LA agreed to this deal, but the Blazers rejected the deal because of Sasha. They need to find a 4th team to take on Sasha's contract to get the deal done, or replace him with another expiring K. Sasha is close to untouchable because of his contract. Owner Real Deal Posted February 15, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted February 15, 2010 We play Golden State tomorrow, right? Let's sit Kobe again, start Sasha and give him 30 shot attempts. See if we can get him to score 10 points to make him look better.

I don't think Blazers have rejected it yet. I simply think they are stalling & simply waiting for a 4th team to come in & take Sasha. If a 4th team doesn't come in & help Portland will have to make a decision on is it worth getting Thomas at the expense of taking in a contract like Sasha. The Blazers rejected the deal because they don't want to give up cap space this summer and no one wants Sasha's contract. Thomas is not worth giving up $5 million in cap space because they can sign him this summer if they really want him. Trades are either close to being a done deal or the trade is dead, when it hits the media. Owner Real Deal Posted February 15, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted February 15, 2010 I think it is mostly speculation. It's being reported by ESPN, by the same guys that "speculated" Butler to Dallas.
Sky
It's from Chad Ford on ESPN Insider. But he's not as connected to the GMs any longer. Woj at Yahoo is the one to trust these days and Stein is the best at the mothership.
