Derrick Rose Wants 'People To Fear Him'

Bulls point guard Derrick Rose is enjoying his first All-Star experience in Dallas this weekend.

 

"Sleeping time is horrible here," Rose said. "But I wouldn't trade this for nothing in the world."

 

Rose is Chicago's first All-Star since Michael Jordan made the team in 1998.

 

He has yet to turn 22, but rubbed elbows with the likes of Kevin Garnett, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade with confidence.

 

"You can see when I play that people are trying to make sure they shut me down," Rose told the Chicago Tribune. "I want to get to the level where every night we play, people say, 'Man, I got him tonight. I gotta get rest. I got DRose tonight.' Hopefully that level is coming.

 

"I think I'm getting a name. I want people to fear me in this league and know I can play a little bit. I hope word gets around."

Superstar in the making, all he needs is to become a good defender and a better shooter. Just round out his game really but the foundation is set. Playing alongside Wade would be amazing for Rose, if Wade came to Chicago.

I love his attitude, and with a few more years I can really see him begin to shine. He had a rugged start to the season, but he's been playing exceptional basketball lately.

Rose is starting to become one of my favourite players with his attitude. He seems to always want to get better. To be honest, people are ruling him out but I think he hasn't even started yet.
