Cleveland's Finest
According to a league source, the Cavaliers are meeting today with free-agent power forward Channing Frye. Frye is the type of stretch power forward the team is in the market for to balance double teams expected to come LeBron James and Shaquille O'Neal's way this season. The 6-foot-11 four-year pro averaged 4.2 points and 2.2 rebounds in 63 games last season with the Portland Trail Blazers, who declined to make him a qualifying offer last week to make him an unrestricted free agent. http://www.cleveland.com/cavs/ This guy always did have potential. I like him. Edited July 6, 2009 by Cleveland's Finest
Warren2ThaG
You like him? Why not play JJ Hickson, even more potential.
Cleveland's Finest
Frye has more experience and has a better jumpshot right now. Also JJ has a bad back right now and with Joe Smith likely out we need him to fill in.
Universe
He reminds me of a smaller Big Z from the games I've seen.
BlueDevil
I had such high hopes for this guy after his rookie season. I still think if he gets the playing time he could be a well rounded player, not a starter, but a quality big off the bench.
