Warren2ThaG
blazers given up on oden? imo it doesnt do that much for both teams i cant see camby making a huge difference for the blazers but we'll see Oden = out for year. Camby = Expiring...........
Dr. Feelgood
It's not that we're giving up on Oden, Camby expires after this season. So we're just renting his defensive capabilities for the rest of the year.
Doc
Woah. Go Clips!
Owner Real Deal Posted February 16, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted February 16, 2010 Well, Portland just screwed the Lakers. EDIT: And so did the Clippers. They need to cast their sail and float over to San Diego.
AboveLegit
Why did the Clips just trade an expiring contract to the Blazers in exchange for two more? What's the point?
Dr. Feelgood
To get a three point shooter in Steve Blake and a 6th man in Travis Outlaw (when he's healthy)
AboveLegit
To get a three point shooter in Steve Blake and a 6th man in Travis Outlaw (when he's healthy)I understand that much, but it's not like they're in contention for the playoffs... EDIT: I just found out that they're trying to trade Thornton and Telfair to get a max slot by July. That's why they made this trade. Owner Real Deal Posted February 16, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted February 16, 2010 Clippers need money, and they are willing to deal Thornton as well, and any backup that they feel can give them a chance to get someone like Bosh, Wade or LeBron. EDIT: Beat me to it, just read that as well lol.
ChosenOne
That is a huge win for the Blazers. Good Trade.
xx.
Marcus Camby is going to look real sick in a Portland uniform, the veteran is still a beast especially on the rebounding end. Damn, good deal for the Blazers. UMASS ALUMNI NO DOUBT
Owner Real Deal Posted February 16, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted February 16, 2010 ESPN updated the article, and now the deal isn't official.

They'd rather resign Joel over Camby.......
The Regime
Deal is official, I love this move for the Blazers.
Dr. Feelgood
Alright, we got a center to play for us now. More playing time for Rudy and Bayless.
Cleveland's Finest
Blazers lose a lot of depth come playoff time but they finally have a center which much outweighs the latter. I wonder if Mills will play some minutes at the guard now? Bayless will have more time which is good for his development. Blake was a huge spark for this team though. Check my Stats
Bayless needs to get some PT, this kid is a stud.
