Cavs, Wiz in intense discussions over Jamison

Honestly, this is the move that gives us the best chance at winning a title.

All this talk of Amare coming to Cleveland will keep LeBron, but I'm willing to sacrifice LeBron leaving (though I think he's staying anyways) to win a title. Winning a title this year is all that matters, and Jamison will be awesome for us for 2-3 years I think. He's a better complimentary player and more clutch than Amare. I admire his heart more too.

Guest The Situation

They're not getting Jamison, Wizards already stated they have no intentions of helping the Cavs win a title.

You are so right.

Wiz might as well sell there team if this happens.

Three different reporters are saying otherwise, guys. Jamison to Cleveland is a real possibility. The Wizards could care less what happens in Cleveland, as long as they drop that three years, $40 million of Antawn's.

Honestly these kids think the Wizards are going to sour their own future just to spoil the Cavaliers. I think they are holding out for Hickson but will eventually fold, they can't pass on the chance to dump that contract off.

There were reports today that Cleveland softened their stance in terms of being more willing to make sacrifices. I think the Wiz will trade Tawn provided they get two things. Hickson and a net reduction of at least 2.6M in payroll to avoid taxes this year, which means the Cavs have to take Mike James.

Cleveland is still waiting for Phoenix to give a verdict on its offer of Ilgauskas, J.J. Hickson and a first-round pick for Amare Stoudemire. But the Cavs' interest in Jamison is real. Cleveland is very excited about Hickson's development and if the Cavs could obtain Jamison without giving up Hickson, they might consider taking that deal over the Stoudemire deal.

I can't believe they are so attached to Hickson, I don't see anything particularly special in the kid, I guess I should watch him more.

He's nothing special. He's seen as one of those guys with "raw potential." I don't see him becoming more than a capable starter or first option power forward off the bench. Either way, I agree with you and I don't see why the Cavs are so hesitant to trade him away.
