Owner Real Deal Posted February 18, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted February 18, 2010 The Dallas Mavericks opted not to sign shooting guard Rashad McCants after he worked out for them this summer. They're at least considering giving McCants another workout. McCants tweeted that he could come to Dallas for a workout tomorrow. "no guarantees but I got some action..... FINALLY! half smile!" McCants tweeted. A team source said nothing is set yet, but the Mavs are thinking about giving McCants a look. McCants, the 14th overall pick in the 2005 draft, has a career average of 10 points per game but hasn't played this season. As a shooting guard, McCants certainly isn't high on the Mavs' priority list. They're actively looking for help at center, which could come once players begin getting buyouts.http://espn.go.com/blog/dallasmavericks/post/_/id/4666128/mavs-might-give-mccants-another-look

CB4
I wouldn't mind either, but I'd rather us go after a C instead. I know this is a longshot, but I wonder if Sean Williams is a possibility?
Owner Real Deal Posted February 19, 2010 Author Owner Report Share Posted February 19, 2010 I wouldn't mind either, but I'd rather us go after a C instead. I know this is a longshot, but I wonder if Sean Williams is a possibility? He should be. I don't know very many teams who are seeking him at the moment. In fact, I don't know of any, at all. I just can't say his attitude will be right for an NBA team, though.
CB4
Yeah, I haven't heard anything recently on him, either. It's seem like his career went down the drain in a matter of seconds.
Owner Real Deal Posted February 19, 2010 Author Owner Report Share Posted February 19, 2010 Well, at BC, Sean was that athletic guy that went after the boards and all shot attempts. He WANTED to win. I don't know if losing had anything to do with it, because the Nets have hit rough patches with him on the team (sitting the bench, I may add), but his attitude just went down the gutter. With Rashad, I'm pretty sure it was his injury. I'm not even sure if he's even healthy enough to play ball yet...
