NomarFachix
Didn't go to the game Sunday, didn't realize uniform pants weren't included, so I... didn't have any. Might as well throw in softball results in here, won both games Monday handily, team is very good. Don't remember personal stats, hit a lot of singles though. Split games tonight, the team is honestly not that good at all. Finished 4-5 with a 3-run homer, double, two singles and a walk... I think I had 5 or 6 RBI total. Threw the tying run out at home in the first game to end it. This Sunday is making me anxious, I have a big feeling that I'm going to struggle. We'll see. NomarFachix
No golden sombrero, but still not great results. Finished the day 0-6 with a sac and a walk, both games went to extras. Won the first 3-2, lost the second 4-3. Played center field and the defense was like riding a bicycle. Didn't see the ball great at the plate, but I did make some solid outs, one to the warning track and a couple right at people. But, 0-6 is 0-6. Going to take work. Only struck out once, which is a slight upside. Oh, got a sick blister too: http://i47.tinypic.com/xdw7wx.jpg Felt good to be back out there. Going to feel better to work hard to get back where I was. Edited June 27, 2010 by Cotton Camby

NomarFachix
How fast are they throwin in this league? First kid yesterday was probably hitting mid-80's with a tight slider and a [expletive]ty curve, second kid was low 80's with [expletive]ty breaking stuff all around. Sħãlïq™
Whatchu think of that: Talk about your mixed emotions (...)All day, before the Ghana match, foreigners asked me whether I was rooting for the States. But once Ghana proved victorious, a black South African acquaintance sent me a text and asked whether I had mixed feelings about the Team USA's loss. 'Mixed feelings'? I wrote back. "You know," he texted, "being a descendent of Africa and also an American."The truth? I did. I'm not anti-American. I love my country. I love my American life. Africa has been wonderful and soulful, but I also miss my country -- even the things that drive me crazy. But having an African nation among the final eight teams isn't just a victory for Africa as a whole. As an African American, I can't help but feel some satisfaction because of the shared heritage. For fear of being labeled unpatriotic, I chose not express those feelings until now. I certainly wasn't rooting against the U.S., but when it comes to their respective futures as a nation and team, it was far more important that Ghana (Africa) succeed. - American soccer has a bright future, and despite our country's economic issues, our infrastructure and reputation isn't an issue. But the World Cup is Africa's opportunity to show the world that it is not some unsophisticated jungle that's incapable of hosting an international event. It's ready to be a major player on a worldwide scale. Sure, it has its problems, but some of the poverty, crime and blight in Africa is no different from what most of us have nearby in our own communities. I'm delighted Ghana's vault into the quarterfinals has allowed Africa to take another important step in the country's overall rebuilding. I'm delighted that something has simple as soccer has unified the many countries and the people and has momentarily blurred any tribal differences.http://soccernet.espn.go.com/world-cup/blog?entryID=5333253&name=worldcup2010blog Edited June 28, 2010 by Shaliq

Dr. Feelgood
Update of the Update of the Update6-29-10 So it's been a long time since I last posted an update about the situation that I was going through at the beginning of the year. Things have changed. I am fully moved in with my mom, in which it's a one bedroom apartment. So for the past 2-3 months, I've been sleeping on the couch in the living room (I think I mentioned this in another topic...) and it's not a very comfortable couch (I used to sleep on this same couch back when I lived with my mom like...5 years ago when I had a couch and bed in my room in the garage). I remembered how terrible of a couch it was to sleep on but it's all good. I'm loving being able to spend some time with my younger sister who is 11 years old and being able to help out my mom some as well. Things have been going pretty decently lately. I've been playing more and more basketball, eating less fast food and losing weight. And just last Friday, I was a couple numbers away from winning the 9.2 million dollar lottery (had three numbers, was off by one number on a number (had 26, was 25) and off by 2 numbers on another (had 48, was 46)). I finally got together with my buddy to play some guitar. I'm still learning and he was able to teach me some new things, which was great. I also decided to move in with Jake and John (my cousin and his boyfriend) in April of 2011 (after tax time) as it makes more sense for me to split rent/bills/food 3 ways on a two bedroom apartment. I think it'll work between the three of us, I honestly do. Back during Father's day Weekend, my aunt Kathy revealed that she was pregnant with her boyfriend Anthony. They moved closer to Anthony's work with my younger cousin Jim. Jake and John are currently living with John's parents with at least 4-5 other people. Another thing that I'd like to mention, is that a couple buddies of mine and my cousin Jim, either sometime this year or next year, we'll be taking a road trip to Minnesota for the sole purpose of going to White Castle to enjoy (hopefully) delicious fast food. From Gresham OR to Minnesota, it's a 1 day 2 hour drive (we're going to alternate between drivers). It's going to be a blast being on this trip for the experience of going on a road trip. We haven't ironed out all the details but we plan on probably leaving Friday evening and arriving late Sunday or early Monday (gonna take Monday off to give us more time). That's pretty much it...Oh wait, I did sign my name to the title of a Kia Van as my grandfather finally paid it off and wants me to take his van when he gets to old to drive (we actually pretty much have the same name, only difference is I have II at the end). Yeah....at least the only thing I'll have to pay on it is insurance and gas, no car payments. -_- Thanks, Dr. Feelgood

NJNJ
Woah where the heck have i been?! I really don't know, myself. Just some..brief updates here: Had surgery few weeks ago so I been in lovely recovery mode; and will be doing so for the rest of my summer. Thank god I didn't miss the NBA Finals. Woo Go Lakers! I got so excited after Game 7 I was about to jump out of my bed while going through excruciating pain and whatnot. In other news regarding Lakers, looks like Steve Blake is officially a Laker? And the whole Miller situation is giving me headaches already. Erm - I think that's it. -_-

NomarFachix
No baseball this past weekend because of 4th of July, and worked through softball last week. Softball double header tonight, finished 7/8 with 2 HR (2 more off the fence... WTP) and probably finished with around 13 RBI... bases always seemed full when I got up. Conditioning is still down, and my arm still hurts after every game... Gotta get up on running and long tossing.
